Maybe I'm just jaded. But 5 for $25 million seems low.
And, ahem, in the neighborhood that "the Packers could have afforded it."
Well at least if he's gone, he's out of division.
Going to make Aaron Rodgers playoff job a bit harder, though. |
None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes. |

The Eagles are trying to make a run this year. They know that opposing teams will most likely figure Vick out by this time next year. Makes since to make a run this year. They will have trouble retaining their young offensive stars (Jackson, Maclin, McCoy) when those guys are free agents. |
People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society. -Vince Lombardi |

After landing Nnamdi Asomugha I was thinking they'll have a solid secondary if they don't trade one of the other two CB's. Then they got Vince Young and I started thinking of the Miami Heat because with Vince Young, if Vick goes down, they won't have to change their offensive flow too much to fit Young's style.
Now they have Cullen Jenkins and I'm not as worried as I probably should be. When you add this many pieces, it takes time for them to gel. We've seen this same type of thing happen with other teams and they rarely meet expectations.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles go 9 - 7 or 10 - 6 and are one and done, again in 2011. |

Eagles are stacking their defense to be Packers killers--pass rusher in Jenkins, three pro-bowl cornerbacks who can play man-to-man.
I'm getting a bad feeling about this... |

I'm getting a bad feeling about this... Why? Maybe I'm over confident, but I don't think they have anyone who can cover Jermichael Finley (assuming he lasts to the post season) and Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson ... plus this Randall Cobb kid might be good and I didn't even mention Donald Driver. Throw in Ryan Grant and James Starks (assuming both last to the post season) I just don't see how a team could beat the Packers, unless Aaron Rodgers is out. I'm putting my money on the following .. Aaron Rodgers Ryan Grant James Starks Greg Jennings Jordy Nelson (who couldn't be stopped by the Steelers only in the most important game of the season) Jermichael Finley They just added some excellent talent, yes. How do you think those ego's are going to fit with the Eagles new defensive coordinator who spent the last 13 years as an offensive line coach? I think it's going to take them a little bit to get on the same page. |

I guess stating a few hundred times I know nothing about OL and the fact that I was over exuberant wasn't enough of an indication of sarcasm to register for some folks. |

I already knew that. You apparently got played by your own attempt at sarcasm. It's a double - sarcasm - thing- |
