The first season he started 13 games, and the last season he started 13 games. Maybe that's what he meant by going out on top?

I think he's salivating at the fact that P. Manning might not play the first game of the season which will keep Favre's consecutive games streak alive. Manning was the only player that had a remote chance of beating it.

I think you are being very polite in your use of a metaphor. Applause

At the risk of sounding dumb, I have to ask - did you mean "salivating" or "beating it?"

Im glad Peyton's streak is ending. Favre's streak is epic and Peyton's finesse style wasn't worthy of getting close to it. It's a "tough guy" streak and nobody was tougher than Brett Favre.

Couldn't agree more Tro. I don't care for Manning, never did. He's played in a dome and his O-line gets away with murder. The only thing I do like about him is that puss face he gets when something goes wrong. Archie raised a couple of spoiled children.

As much as I can't stand Peyton, I hate Eli more.

Trom - Favre probably took 20-30 hits in his career that would have ended Peyton's season on the spot.
