Yeah, Yeah, Yeah you have supposed big nads. I'm still pissed at the 4th and 26 game in Philly. That interception in OT was absolutely atrocious.

Getting a first down on 4th and 26 was even more atrocious.

Letting Philadephia get a first down on 4th and 26 was more atrocious than Favre throwing the interception in my mind.

Over 200 yards on the ground on O, 7 sacks and a couple turnovers on D.

If Favre had done ANYTHING in that game, 4th and 26 wouldn't have mattered. He sucked the whole game and choked up an epic pick.

1 freaking yard and he runs out the clock so McNabb doesn't even touch the ball again.

Completing 15 of 28 for 180 yards with 2 TD's and only 1 INT was not lackluster, it was boobielicious!

The golden boy of pass rushers left on the market in Wimbley has signed with the Titans.

Didn't fit into the cap plans here anyway... that is without cuts or reworks of contracts.

Sorry, somehow I misread your post. While I agree it was pretty disgusting, the defense pretty much held up its end of the bargain that game. As many times as they sacked McNabb, the game shouldn't have even been close.

There were many points in that game that failed us.. Sherman's chickshit call not to go for it with that running game on 4th and a 1.

One play didn't lose the game.. it was definitely a collection of calls and errors. Worst part.. Ed Donatell got the brunt of others mistakes. Yes... Mikey and Brett.. some of that falls on your shoulders.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane here..

I wonder if Todd "The Toothpick" Pinkston is still available as a free agent. That is just about as random as bring this conversation into the free agent thread.. yes I am guilty as charged as well. ;)

Even before 4th and 26th happened, NOT going for it on 4th and 1 from their 40 yard line with not one, not two, but THREE RBs who averaged 5.0+ ypc. WTF? I knew when we punted that the Football Gods would be angry with us and we'd lose that game. I knew they'd complete the 4th and 26th for a first down.

Once you anger the Football Gods, your season is over. It doesn't matter what you do.

Morale of the story - don't be a pussy. It angers the Football Gods. I love Sherman as a human being but that day, I loathed him as a coach.

On another note, notice that Mike McCarthy would rather err on the side of aggression? Some people think that's a bad thing but I say they couldn't be more wrong.

I notice people saying Mike McCarthy is too conservative. This notion of observing aggression is refreshing.

Who says he's too conservative? How many other coaches besides Sean Payton regularly take chances with onside kicks? How many other coaches have as high a percentage of going on 4th down? How many other coaches take as many shots downfield as we do?

(I'm agreeing with you. I'm wondering who's disagreeing with us).

Personally, I feel Mike McCarthy errs on the side of aggression more so than conservative. As for whom feels he's too conservative, I can't name names, but I know it runs wild in the chat room during gameday. I think it's more so from the "Madden" group of Packers fans than anything. You know the type, who never punt, even if they are 65 yards away from scoring.

He was on the Saints before Seattle wasn't he?

What is the possibility of a suspension for his participation in the bounty program?

Demetrius Bell - LT for the Bills is coming in for a visit. I wonder if Ted would just give him Clifton's money?

Just heard about Bell coming in this week for a visit. Apparently the Bills have an offer, but he wants to play elsewhere. There's something about him being injury prone too.

Quote:
To hear GM Ted Thompson describe it, the Packers are extremely active in free agency.

They just don't sign very many people.

I just thought that was hilarious. Also:

Quote:
The truth of the matter is that Thompson uses veteran free agency to fill spots that his draft picks couldn't. He has been so good at working the college draft that the holes that are left aren't usually worth spending huge amounts of money on.

And:

Quote:
If you look at the Patriots, for example, they're signing free agents right and left to fill depth issues that have come about because their drafting has been so bad. Had they capitalized on all those second-round picks they had over the past couple of years, they wouldn't even be sniffing around the free agent market.

He's a good player, though. He’s the starting left tackle next year if the Packers were to sign him. He had a very solid 2010 season.
