I notice people saying Mike McCarthy is too conservative. This notion of observing aggression is refreshing.

Who says he's too conservative? How many other coaches besides Sean Payton regularly take chances with onside kicks? How many other coaches have as high a percentage of going on 4th down? How many other coaches take as many shots downfield as we do?

(I'm agreeing with you. I'm wondering who's disagreeing with us).

Personally, I feel Mike McCarthy errs on the side of aggression more so than conservative. As for whom feels he's too conservative, I can't name names, but I know it runs wild in the chat room during gameday. I think it's more so from the "Madden" group of Packers fans than anything. You know the type, who never punt, even if they are 65 yards away from scoring.

He was on the Saints before Seattle wasn't he?

What is the possibility of a suspension for his participation in the bounty program?

Demetrius Bell - LT for the Bills is coming in for a visit. I wonder if Ted would just give him Clifton's money?

Just heard about Bell coming in this week for a visit. Apparently the Bills have an offer, but he wants to play elsewhere. There's something about him being injury prone too.

Quote:
To hear GM Ted Thompson describe it, the Packers are extremely active in free agency.

They just don't sign very many people.

I just thought that was hilarious. Also:

Quote:
The truth of the matter is that Thompson uses veteran free agency to fill spots that his draft picks couldn't. He has been so good at working the college draft that the holes that are left aren't usually worth spending huge amounts of money on.

And:

Quote:
If you look at the Patriots, for example, they're signing free agents right and left to fill depth issues that have come about because their drafting has been so bad. Had they capitalized on all those second-round picks they had over the past couple of years, they wouldn't even be sniffing around the free agent market.
It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up again.

He's a good player, though. He’s the starting left tackle next year if the Packers were to sign him. He had a very solid 2010 season.

According to Bell's Twitter - “I’m done visiting. Where is this coming from?“

I'm not surprised at all he ended up with the Eagles after their starting left tackle ruptured his Achilles tendon. Solid signing for the Eagles, pending financial terms of the deal. Although, I'm sure they are reasonable.
