I'm not surprised at all he ended up with the Eagles after their starting left tackle ruptured his Achilles tendon. Solid signing for the Eagles, pending financial terms of the deal. Although, I'm sure they are reasonable.

what do you guys think?
Eagles | Nnamdi Asomugha could be cut
Fri, 22 Feb 2013 06:02:48 -0800
The Philadelphia Eagles will cut CB Nnamdi Asomugha if he doesn't agree to a pay cut.
He is a better bump and run CB then a zone guy and you know we like te man to man coverages.

I think he is going to be out of the price range we would be looking for.. and honestly, for the money he is going to get, I would rather hold onto Charles.

If man to man means playing 5-10 yards off the WR, then yeah, that's what is played most often.

10 yards off the WR for a 3rd and 1 is my favorite kind of defense.

Yeah. Pipe dream.
However, if PHI releases him for whatever reason, and he would be willing to sign with GB on the cheap, it would be good to see. Figure the value of an affordable deal where he would return with his old line mates would be pretty good, even if he were a part timer due to his age. Figure, Jenkins has had 9.5 sacks over the past two seasons, more than anyone on our own DL in that span.
Same with Woodson. I wouldn't mind seeing him return at a more affordable contract, and would much rather have him than Asomugha. Actually, I like our CBs with Williams, House, Shields and Hayward.
