Weird. Whereas a few days ago I was having no new post notifications at all, now the threads in which I am the most recent poster are lit up with the new post icons. This is in Chrome on Windows 7.
Obviously, I don't think this is your fault. There are clearly some bugs in the YAF software. I wonder why the developers care so little for Chrome compatibility. I wonder if they have failed to account for the recent change to Chrome that lets users "log into" Chrome, thereby saving all their settings, cookies, etc. remotely.

I've noticed when using Chrome for the first time on a machine on the site, everything claims to be "new". It threw me off the first time.

The Search function seems to be completely down in both Chrome and Firefox. The little "loading" wheel spins and spins but no search results are ever returned.

lol when I clicked search, it immediately said it was loading results. Something I'll have to toy with later for sure. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Search still doesn't work, although the popup now appears and churns for several minutes, instead of having the spinning wheel in the lower left corner. I was able to find my desired post in Google, though.

The forum search feature still appears to be down. Maybe that will be fixed with the next upgrade.

Used it four times just recently today, works just fine. What criteria are you searching so I can see this failure you speak of?

I used the Posts slot with the "Matches all words" option selected. Tried it in both Chrome and Firefox. The popup just sat there and churned, with nothing ever turning up.

I haven't tried in Firefox today, using Chrome. I searched for Salary Cap, exact phrase, results came up after about a minute.
I've seen this search work nearly instant on other sites. I wonder if all those old posts being so poorly structured now from the old software are somehow killing the efficiency.

kevin I am so sorry about the email address. I am usually more careful about those things. Thanks for correcting and calling it to my attention. I was looking to see if the symbols were in my post.
I got the symbols with both the old email address and the current one.
At the office I go to the email providers site and view the message using firefox.
At home I downloaded the emails when I used the Frontier address. Now I once again am using firefox to read them.

I would guess there's a language pack or font that you're using that's goofing things up. Seems really weird though.

the weird part is that it is not every notification only some of them. and the pack must be standard. I dont modify things without knowing what I did and how to undo them.
