This is probably more just my own neandering thoughts, but we have nearly 25 million in cap space. We need a pass rusher. Michael Strahan REPORTEDLY was going to return but was not offered 8 million.
If that's all the cash it takes, 8 millioin, I say Ted, jump on that and get him in here!

I believe they call that "The 'Ol Switcheroo" -- the city of Green Bay loses Favre to the city of New York (erm... New Jersey) and the opposite for Michael Strahan.
I say show him the money! Anything to help our pass rush = good for the Green Bay Packers!

I know, I'm just saying we can't just sign him for $8 million as Zero suggested; unless he is released, which he hasn't been yet.

No, I don't see Strahan pulling something like that anyway, unless it was for the Giants.

No way this happens. Strahan will not come back unless it is with the Giants. I think they will get something worked out.

I would much rather use the cap space to extend our own players.

One year, four million? I'd bite, and we can still extend our own guys.

It would be neat to have him here. But i don't see it happening. He would have to WANT to come here, and NY would have to allow him.

Yeah, but Zero admitted this thread is wishful thinking. I'm sure there are fans of 30 other teams (not including the Giants obviously) that are thinking "what if we get Strahan."

True......very true.
I don't know if he's still as good as he once was. But i bet Ted Thompson is checking it out either way.

Brett Favre was under contract with the Packers for 3 years and some 39 million.
.... aside from facts ....
I highly doubt this would ever happen for us. It would require the Giants to trade a pass rusher to the team that they played in the NFC Championship.
It'd be stupid for them to do it, but, that doesn't mean I can't think it up!
Geez.

I dunno. Looks like Strahan might get signed back to NY with Umenyiora out for the season.

Yeah. Like I said initially and recently. It won't happen, but heck if its money, I say chuck a wad at the dude! We have some good linebackers we could hand out one of them or maybe a RB, heh the irony huh?
Err, I should point out the irony since some don't pick up on my dumb comments lol... We got Ryan Grant from the Giants, if we traded them a RB for the rights to Michael Strahan, irony!! :P
