And just how many non speaking mistakes have they made over the course of the preseason.

The worst and most notable that I have seen is not allowing Coughlin decide whether or not he wanted to run another play with the clock expired.

What about the 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct on Worthey in the first preseason game for getting somewhat excited after a sack?

I thought it was Perry.. yes by appearance that looked bad. Do we know what he said on the field? Do we have all the information to know it was a bad call.

But even there... if anything, that is erroring on the side of caution.

Again.. I am not saying they are as good as the normals.. but even the normal refs blow calls. Rodgers in Arizona comes to mind right off the bat.

What I find impressionable, is the refs were all over the history of the one woman ref. They were all over the incorrect team name.. so they are watching. And they have basically had nothing.. nothing to really bitch about.

Even De Smith.. he didn't cite a single example.

I think that is telling.

It was Perry, it was their first game, it was probably a college ref, it hasn't happened since then. Remember, they're new to the pro game, they're getting better. The normal refs better not wait too long or there won't be any or little difference and then they'll have no or little leverage.

Waaaaay too many times that there were no flags thrown with hits to the facemask after the play is over and other heavier forms of pushing and shoving, right in front of the ref. They reaaaalllly needed to stop this crap way earlier in the game.

I think it is all for not as rumors have it that the NFL and the refs are sitting down today.. and more than likely will hammer it out.

But I think I might want to vomit.

Twice in one year I have agreed with Jerry.... or he has agreed with me. ;)

Yesterday Goodell refused to rule out the regular refs for week 1. News today is the NFL and the refs are sitting down finally. Might be able to hammer something out over the long weekend. Still seems really rushed to be able to get them in for Wednesday's opener, maybe Sunday games though.

The worst and most notable that I have seen is not allowing Coughlin decide whether or not he wanted to run another play with the clock expired.

But other than incorrect names or jitters in speaking.. I just haven't see them get a call wrong. It may have taken a conference on the field, but they are getting the calls right.

Show me where they have made a mistake in what 97 games. Then I would like to review 97 games with the normal "polished" refs... I bet the difference just isn't that drastic.

My only point is this.. would I rather have the normal crews. Yes.

But, much like the Players and owners, the refs have succumb to the greed element from the cash cow that is the NFL.

The differences will more than likely be less felt than the alignment changes of the refs from last season. It is just being over hyped.

Until they can parse out the dollars.. this isn't that big of a deal.

NFL refs should always have been full timers.

Replacement refs have blown some nasty, nasty calls for and against the Vikings this preseason. Go back and watch them. Heaven forbid those crews ever call one of your beloved Packer games.. GB might end up in a black hole of rage.

Then you'll see what I speak of.

Forless, sometime you can be such a bore. (actually most of the time.)

of course GB will get the replacement refs just like everyone else will.

If they miss a call GB fans will be just as upset as any other teams fans will be. No more. no less.

Zero2Cool (6h) : Why? What's the difference? Can you cook same meals with one?
hardrocker950 (6h) : Get a pressure cooker and your crock pot will collect dust lol

Smokey (7h) : They were chicken livers, and they are fabulous . LOL
uffda udfa (8h) : Not if Matt Ryan puts up a 40 passer rating. :) The last two were unfavorable conditions. This is dome time.
Cheesey (8h) : Smokey, went to fire up the crock pot to slow cook some chicken gizzards, it burned out!
Zero2Cool (8h) : Aaron Rodgers' passer rating in his 4 career games at the Georgia Dome: 114.5, 136.8, 117.0, 125.5.
Zero2Cool (12h) : from Rob Reischel @robreischel
Zero2Cool (12h) : Rodgers has played in 2 NFC Championship games. QB ratings were 56.7 and 55.9. That's won't cut it Sunday
Porforis (13h) : Have to fill the 24/7 news cycle with something.
Smokey (13h) : True, Zero
Zero2Cool (13h) : Rodgers didn't draw it up, it was selected from options. Duh.
uffda udfa (15h) : Zeke Elliott tired of domestic violence investigation. NFL moving forward now.

uffda udfa (17-Jan) : The hug on the sidelines?
uffda udfa (17-Jan) : What seemed so emotional?
Zero2Cool (17-Jan) : No, but I am curious why that seemed so emotional. I might be reading into it too much.
uffda udfa (17-Jan) : Anyone ever get confused looking at Alex Van Pelt thinking it's MM?
uffda udfa (17-Jan) : I hope they aren't going to dial it down believing in destiny .
Zero2Cool (17-Jan) : Jason Wilde: Packers "feel like a team of destiny"
uffda udfa (16-Jan) : They'll need all the Julio Joneses they can get.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Chmura: "I'll tell you this: Atlanta's going to score 40 points. They are. The #Packers are going to have to score 41."
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Damn-Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells reporters that WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited this week but will be “ready to rock” on Sunday.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Packers defense has a red zone INT in each of the last 3 games... Hyde with two of them. (One being the clutch 4thQ INT vs DET in Week 17)
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Randall Cobb, Damarious Randall, Quentin Rollins, James Starks, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery & Jared Cook. OUT
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Packers inactive list when they lost 33-32 to the Falcons week 8.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : There is no emphasis, it's just a little bit of info. Take it or leave it. No harm.
Smokey (16-Jan) : Zero, I believe that you and some others place too much emphasis upon data. no harm intended.
