And just how many non speaking mistakes have they made over the course of the preseason.

The worst and most notable that I have seen is not allowing Coughlin decide whether or not he wanted to run another play with the clock expired.

What about the 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct on Worthey in the first preseason game for getting somewhat excited after a sack?

I thought it was Perry.. yes by appearance that looked bad. Do we know what he said on the field? Do we have all the information to know it was a bad call.

But even there... if anything, that is erroring on the side of caution.

Again.. I am not saying they are as good as the normals.. but even the normal refs blow calls. Rodgers in Arizona comes to mind right off the bat.

What I find impressionable, is the refs were all over the history of the one woman ref. They were all over the incorrect team name.. so they are watching. And they have basically had nothing.. nothing to really bitch about.

Even De Smith.. he didn't cite a single example.

I think that is telling.

It was Perry, it was their first game, it was probably a college ref, it hasn't happened since then. Remember, they're new to the pro game, they're getting better. The normal refs better not wait too long or there won't be any or little difference and then they'll have no or little leverage.

Waaaaay too many times that there were no flags thrown with hits to the facemask after the play is over and other heavier forms of pushing and shoving, right in front of the ref. They reaaaalllly needed to stop this crap way earlier in the game.

I think it is all for not as rumors have it that the NFL and the refs are sitting down today.. and more than likely will hammer it out.

But I think I might want to vomit.

Twice in one year I have agreed with Jerry.... or he has agreed with me. ;)

Yesterday Goodell refused to rule out the regular refs for week 1. News today is the NFL and the refs are sitting down finally. Might be able to hammer something out over the long weekend. Still seems really rushed to be able to get them in for Wednesday's opener, maybe Sunday games though.

The worst and most notable that I have seen is not allowing Coughlin decide whether or not he wanted to run another play with the clock expired.

But other than incorrect names or jitters in speaking.. I just haven't see them get a call wrong. It may have taken a conference on the field, but they are getting the calls right.

Show me where they have made a mistake in what 97 games. Then I would like to review 97 games with the normal "polished" refs... I bet the difference just isn't that drastic.

My only point is this.. would I rather have the normal crews. Yes.

But, much like the Players and owners, the refs have succumb to the greed element from the cash cow that is the NFL.

The differences will more than likely be less felt than the alignment changes of the refs from last season. It is just being over hyped.

Until they can parse out the dollars.. this isn't that big of a deal.

NFL refs should always have been full timers.

Replacement refs have blown some nasty, nasty calls for and against the Vikings this preseason. Go back and watch them. Heaven forbid those crews ever call one of your beloved Packer games.. GB might end up in a black hole of rage.

Then you'll see what I speak of.

Forless, sometime you can be such a bore. (actually most of the time.)

of course GB will get the replacement refs just like everyone else will.

If they miss a call GB fans will be just as upset as any other teams fans will be. No more. no less.

beast (4h) : I'm not sure if it's still true, but it used to be hard to get sacks on Eli because he'd toss one up when linemen got semi-close (which lead
Zero2Cool (5h) : Slam Eli a lot very early. Once rattled he can't regain composure.
beast (5h) : since slot WRs might be the Packers strength depth/talent wise
beast (5h) : With AR's passing % down field so low, I've been saying they should go with short passes like the Pats used to do, especially since slot WRs
beast (5h) : What's going to be needed against the Giants is OL and DBs (IMO)
Smokey (28-Sep) : Cook(TE) has time to heal, but may not be needed against NYG on Oct 9th .
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : . Aaron Rodgers has a completion percentage of 33.3 on 10+ air yard passes this season (tied for the lowest in NFL).
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : High-ankle sprain could sideline Cook
Zero2Cool (26-Sep) : Odell Beckham Jr, Dez Bryant, Alshon Jeffery and Julio Jones on tap for Packers. Yippie.
Cheesey (26-Sep) : Arnold Palmer was a class act all around. RIP
Smokey (26-Sep) : Rest in Peace Arnold Palmer, you blessed us all .
hardrocker950 (26-Sep) : What a strange weekend of football
jdlax (26-Sep) : What's up, friends? It's like bizzaro world right now trailing the Vikings. Blah.
GoPack1984 (25-Sep) : Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 6 interceptions!
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Cleveland loses.
The_Green_Ninja (25-Sep) : I swear, Jacksonville's hot weather must be a huge advantage. Kept it super close with the Ravens
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Su'a Cravens with a big INT. A guy I wanted.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Can Cleveland win?
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : T.J. Lang said after one of Aaron Rodgers' TD passes the Packers quarterback head-butted Lang in excitement and said "I'm back."
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Terrelle Pryor could see snaps at quarterback
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : inactives 6 Callahan 37 Shields 42 Burnett 52 Matthews 68 Murphy 95 Jones 98 Guion
Mucky Tundra (25-Sep) : GET HYPE
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Packers aim to showcase speed of Ty Montgomery, Trevor Davis
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : CB Quinten Rollins will start for Shields. Micah Hyde for Burnett. Julius Peppers for Matthews. Kenny Clark for Guion.
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Probably will not be on the top of the Pick'Em leaderboard after today, soaking it in beforehand
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Foosball!
yooperfan (25-Sep) : Game day, tee it up and get this show on the road!
dyeah_gb (25-Sep) : Dyeah! Go Pack!
buckeyepackfan (25-Sep) : GOOD MORNING PACKER FANS! GAMEDAY! GO! PACK! GO!
flep (25-Sep) : Gameday!!! Will see you all in chat later
The_Green_Ninja (25-Sep) : Also, I'm not sure if you guys know. I'm a Memphis Tigers fan. Start looking a Riley Ferguson, QB. He is the real deal.
The_Green_Ninja (24-Sep) : Big whoop, we have Aaron. We are going to win. H8ers.
Zero2Cool (24-Sep) : Matthews, Burnett out; Guion, Jones doubtful
Zero2Cool (24-Sep) : thank ya
