I just feel this needs to be said. The 49ers look incredible right now in execution and coaching. I really envy how well they are performing especially on defense. That would be really awesome if we become that good over the course of the year.

They are a machine. That's for sure. I don't remember the last time I saw a more complete team.

And Alex Smith deserves some respect. He's playing really smart football. He's making the right checks at the line, the right audibles and he's making good throws. I'd say he's top 15 (somewhere between 10-15) in the NFL.
Solid team. Jerks.

Their defense is certainly outstanding, and right now as Zero mentioned Alex Smith is playing really smart football. I don't think they play as dominantly as they have so far all season, but they're certainly a contender.

I much prefer it when other teams are considered to be the favorite, unstoppable, etc.
The more people think the Packers are not at the top, the better.

I was there after week one.. it was clear that 2011 had carried over to this season and that they added more help to the offense in weaponry.
If you are going to beat the Niners this season, and they can and will be beaten, you are going to have to earn it. You are going to have to play solid ball for 4 quarters and break that team.
They are going to be a tough out this season..

They also may peak too early or of course, they could be this dominant the whole year. But with how tough the NFL has gotten these days, you just never know.

I'm envious of their D also. They are fun to watch if they're not playing the Pack. Aggressive, sure hard tackles, gang tackling, good against the run and pass. It would be fun if our young guys developed this year so we could be more like that. Harbaugh has done a really good job with that team, especially Smith...the Alex one. If I was them I'd draft anybody by the name of Smith.

The Niners will NOT win a SB this year.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, do you think that strongly enough that you're willing to buy me another bottle of Scotch?
Yeah, didn't think so.

Pretty easy to say one of 32 teams won't win the Super Bowl. You wanna impress us, tell us who WILL win the Super Bowl this year!! [grin1]

That is just one of the many things that I like about you, ZS.
No matter how many times you struggle, no matter how many times you crash & burn, no matter how many times you fail and fail gloriously....
...you get right back up there and futilely try again.
I'm pulling for you my
fiend friend.

When it comes to wagering, be it higher end or just avatars/sigs.....
I lend very little credence to comments made by someone that talks the talk, but never walks the walk.

Does it ever bother you that you are a complete pussy? I mean, you're my buddy and all, but for the love of God man - grow a set.

I don't get what you mean. VR paid his dues. Took some big balls to bet on the Vikings.

Well you are a little slow. [grin1] He doesn't want to make the bet this year. Seems to me, it's an annual event now.

Ah, gotcha.
Yeah, I think he's pretty much given up. Or actually, he'll bet with us, but he'll want something like 50 pts for both games. I can't give him that many because we always just squeak by in the Metrodome then have to make up for it when we get to Lambeau.

Nah, I never gave up, just got tired of you tap dancing all over the place.
OK ZS, just how many points are you willing to give up?
Now as to that supreme dumbass and shmuck, DakotaT, since he seems to enjoy bringing up male genitalia frequently (which gives one pause for concern)....
...one would wonder if the numbnuts known as DakotaT, has the real cojones to put HIS money where his alligator mouth is, or...
...as I would tend to believe, that as usual, his alligator mouth is writing checks that his canary ass can't cash.
