To me, the worst part is that it held up after review. I get that mistakes happen, I have compassion for the position they're in and the crazy scrutiny they're under, but when you have a second chance and as much time as you need, you can't fuck it up.

There would have been a riot if they overturned it.

yep. the official was gutless. they were in Seattle and they were scared to overturn the obvious wrong call.

And we'll continue to attend and watch, by next THURSDAY and weekend we'll all be in front of TV's and asses in seats all around the NFL

First they came for the Jets,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jets fan.

Then they came for the 49ers,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a 49ers fan.

Then they came for the Patriots,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Patriots fan.

Then they came for the Packers,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

The worst part is that they even reviewed it on instant replay! Yet they still got the call wrong!!

I got that.

No sodas beyond 16 oz!

This was a game changer as regards those refs. Rodger will be incapable of withstanding the storm about to come. This wasn't him, it was the owners, imo

Those fucks owe us 1 game.

Great learning opportunity here.

Injustice happens. Sometimes you get robbed.

THAT IS WHY YOU SHOW UP IN THE FIRST QUARTER. That is why you PLAY FOR 60 MINUTES.

This game should not even have been close.

Granted, there were continuous and ongoing bad calls to keep the Seahawks alive throughout the last several minutes of the game. But even so. PUT THE OTHER TEAM AWAY.

This team NEVER shows up for a full 60. ESPECIALLY after a long week off. Remember last year after we sat the starters for the last game? Two weeks off. When they came back, they weren't ready.

Yeah, we got robbed. Next time, let's make sure they can't steal the game from us.

+1. Even while I was screaming at the TV I was thinking, "Ya know... if we'd called more than three running plays in the first half this play probably wouldn't matter at all."

I have never seen us more angry than we are right now. I am reading reaction and the way they are talking. They are so fucking seething right now. Wow.

The closest I've felt to this is the 2009 (?) playoff loss in OT to the cardinals and the totally-not-facemask noncall. Only saving grace here is that it was in game 3 of the regular season. I can't bring myself to be angry about this. Dumbfounded, shocked, of course. But I just can't feel anything. But this is definitely one for the ages.

Fuck these scab piece of shit refs, and fuck Godell for allowing this shit to stand.

I have nothing constructive to add to this embarassment.

homer and thunder just let all of wisconsin know that the commish DOES have the power to overturn a game

that would be unprecedented, however

Agreed. I can't see that power ever being used except in the case of something many factors more obvious and severe than this. Such as a ball being passed, clearly bouncing off the ground a couple times a yard away from someone, the WR picking it up and it being ruled a TD. Or in a situation like this game, if one of the refs were found to have bet against the Packers and there was other evidence of intentional discrimination. That is a huge can of worms to open, as sick as this game makes me, I don't blame the commish for not opening it (presumably).

he wont use it..

it would undermine his position. which i would imagine he holds higher than any one game.

Goodell's a coward. He won't overturn it.

Here's another thing.

That's why you knock the ball down in that situation. You don't go for the INT.

The officials: Elliott (d2), Rhone-Dunn (Big 12), Harrod (D2, arena), Easley (Calif. HS/JC), Simmons (TX HS), Peek (TX HS). Easley blew call

easley is a highschool / juco ref

his call overruled the ref who ruled it a touchback.

There is a point bigger than this: the booth review, which was done by a full-time veteran NFL employee, up-held the play call. I really, really want to hear the justification for the call being upheld by Howard Slavin, someone who is NOT a replacement ref but a permanent NFL employee that made the decision on the booth review.

steveishere (14h) : We should bring in Datone and run with him/brooks/fackrell rotation at OLB and let Clay play from inside where he actually makes an impact
uffda udfa (14h) : Last night, Jermichael Finley insinuates Rodgers was scared but quickly deletes tweet.
uffda udfa (15h) : Daniels MRI came back clean. Day to Day.
