Final score

Saints 35

Packers 21

Who cares about defence, what about the Packers defense?

I thought this was funny.

If you are writing for a British publication, use “defence,” but the American “defense” has the advantages of greater antiquity, similarity to the words from which it was derived, and consistency with words like “defensible.” The pronunciation used in sports which accents the first syllable (“DEE-fense”) should not be used when discussing military, legal, or other sorts of defense.

People in sports use “defense” as a verb meaning “defend against,” as in “the team couldn’t defense that strategy.” Outside of sports talk, “defense” is never a verb.

I have this problem in the UK when talking about football.

They never understand my pronunciation of the word defense (despite my being British).

To me it separates the two words by associating it with football.

I know what I'm talking about anyway.

Defence is the proper and correct and proper English spelling. Defense is the butchered American spelling of the word.

yeah I get a bit annoyed when people don't know how to spell defense correctly. (Exceptions are made for the Commonwealth Nations. They just don;t know any better.) IE: "Leftenant". PFFFT.
One does not simply walk into Mordor.

lol I couldn't care less, but it just looks stupid to me (damn Americans!) and its mildly amusing to point at times.

It's pretty common knowledge that ...
defense is the American spelling (that even spell check understands)
defence is the British spelling (spell check thinks is wrong)

Unless you don't trust the Oxford dictionary.

If not you can always check out Websters dictionary.

I think Rockmolder really wears clothes like that to go with his wooden shoes.

Folks from the Netherlands celebrate the glory days of their empire, back when Baroque was in fashion. Good times to be Dutch, those were.

Oh, it TOTALLY is in in Japan. I heard over there Baroque is the new black.

It's just we're being a little tight with money here as the economy hasn't been too good recently and you know, Baroque clothes are a little on the, you know, expensive side.

If it's not Baroque...
