Remember The Sports Team Jersey Rule:

If you are over the age of 30 years of age, you can not wear a "Sports Team Jersey" except on game day.

If you are under the age of 30 you can wear it any time you like, anywhere you like.

Any person wearing a "Sports Team Jersey" that is over the age of 30, on any "Non-Game Day" is a loser and should be banished from society. You are the type of person who wears socks with sandals or flip flops.

Those are the rules. Do not blame me, I did not make them.

I won't even wear the jersey to the game. I put it on once I get. At the very least at the motel when I drop my bags off.

2 addendum's to the jersey rule.

Good looking women can wear them when ever they want. The more form fitting the more it is allowable.

Jersey wearing is acceptable the day after your team wins the Super Bowl or similar championship for other sports. In the case of Futbol, only winning the World Cup is acceptable.

Special dispensation can be requested for days when taking a stadium tour but it is rarely allowed as the jersey would be worn for most of day including time not spent in the stadium.

What if you are exactly 30 years of age? I see no provision for that.

I wear mine on gameday (I'm 51). Got it on now at 11:27AM (UK time) 5:27AM (Green Bay time)and still 10 hours till kick off.

I also wear it when I'm on a holiday (vacation) to show my colours (colors for our American brethren) and wear it with pride.

On the other hand, after you are thirty you can:

1. Drink a martini without being pretentious.
2. Smoke a pipe without being pretentious.
3. Be unapologetic about being attracted to women five years younger than you are.
4. Spend more on the food at a restaurant than the bar bill.
None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes.

What if you're a grown adult and make decisions for yourself not predicated on some ignoramus fictitious set of rules?

Since "grown adult" is the premise of your question, then in your case, you must follow the rules.

With all due respect to RP, yes, good looking women can wear them whenever they want. I have seen damn good looking women in their 40s (MILFs) walk around with tight jeans and form fitting jerseys. Dancing That is a good thing.

I guess I'm massively pretentious then.

I'm below the cutoff and I pretty much only wear my jerseys during the games or occasionally when I'm lounging around the house and haven't done laundry yet.

Otherwise, when I want to show my team colors I have t-shirts for that.

To be honest, I HATED Scotch until I turned 40.

The reason was purely physical. Every year, taste buds die. I used to hate veggies when I was in my childhood and teens and started liking some of them in my 20s. Now, I enjoy veggies.

Same thing with gin. I was in my 30s when I first started drinking gin. Couldn't stand it in my 20s.

So maybe you killed off your taste buds at a faster rate than normal?

Possibly. Scotch was always my dad's drink of choice so as far as quality booze that's what he always had in the house. I started drinking it with him.

I can't stand gin though, so maybe that's something I'll pick up as I get older.
