The meaning is far deeper than the words. Basically, why fret it when you cannot change it. It is all about acceptance. It is what it is. Not to be taken on face value, at least not for me. Focus on what you can control to minimize the effects of the past. And you can take the condescending "Put some thoughts into your words" and shove them up your arse. I forget... some need all the specifics within their reading so they don't have to put any thought into it! Edited by member Tuesday, October 9, 2012 1:15:47 PM(UTC)

"In my opinion ... " Of course it's your opinion. You're the one writing/saying it.
"It is obvious that ..." No it isn't. If it were obvious, you wouldn't have to point it out. And if you have to point it out, it can't be obvious.
"There is no such thing as a dumb question." There are entire *categories* of dumb questions. For example: i. If you're wasting the listener's time, it's a dumb question. ii. If you're a student and you're asking a question about what's in the book before you've looked for your answer in the book, it's a dumb question. iii. If I just answered the question, and you ask the question again, it's a dumb question. iv. If you're asking a question you know I don't have the answer to, it's a dumb question. v. If you're asking a question I've told you I don't have an answer to, it's a dumb question. vi. If you ask a question that requires more of my time than you would have spent finding the answer for yourself, it's a dumb question.

None of the above. It wouldn't have been a wasted vote. Obama and Romney -- Those were the wasted votes. |

I use that a lot here, because some seem to struggle between opinion and fact, thus it is just clarification. Hence the disclaimer in the signature. Outside of here.. rarely used. |
