Big rumour doing the rounds that the Vikings are going to play at Wembley next season in September.
No chance they will give up a home game V the Packers, Bears or Lions.
Looks like it could be the Steelers game.
Waits to see the steam coming from Formo and Vikes!!!!! |

rank 31st of 32 teams in stadium revenue, which makes ditching a home game less troublesome. |

Geez, if you're going to copy and paste something, at least link it.....you new here or what? Considering the new stadium situation, I don't have a problem with it...besides Vikings have raided Britain before, took what they wanted and left.

Well then, at least the Vikings will be able to say they were the 2nd best NFL team in England next season. |

Waits to see the steam coming from Formo and Vikes!!!!! I'm with VR.. I'm not upset. I don't pay for season tickets, therefor I'm not the once 'cheated' out of a home game. That said, I also heard that they (Vikings) are willing to play there the next 4 years. Which will be interesting. I think it's a cool thing. They don't make the revenue, and with 20k extra seats than the Metrodome, Wembley would be a nice venue for the organization to recoup some monies. Also, I personally know at least 2 Viking fans that are jacked out of their minds about this information. And I'm more than happy for them, they deserve to see the Vikings play there.. They've made more than one trip to MPLS to see the Vikes. Also, giving the Vikings 4 games in London will do good for their global brand. |
Thanks to TheViking88 for the sig!! |

Personally I think that 4 years in a row with a new stadium coming online would be dumb idea. And I for one would be way against that. According to Minnesota House Bill HF 2958, the Vikings can only play 3 home games off of US soil in the next 15 years. I'd say send the Packers next, but that would set Anglo/American relations back 200 years, and we need all the allies that we can get. Cheeseheads in Britain?.......hillbillies in Trafalgar Square?.......dumbass's at Wembley is what you would have. Edited by member Sunday, October 14, 2012 12:56:56 PM(UTC)

I thought that bill didn't go into effect until after the new stadium opened (or construction started on). But, I did see that they are willing to play one game a year in London until the new stadium opened. |

Here is the latest that I found. Construction start 3rd Qtr of 2013 with substantial completion 2nd Qtr of 2016....play in 2016 season?

When I saw the thread title I thought you were saying they were MOVING to London. Lets see, the closest team to VR & Formo for them to cheer for then would be... |

Bob, you've been hanging around DakotaT way too much. You're approaching supreme dumbassery with that comment. IF the Minnesota Vikings moved, there are 30, ya count them 30, other teams to which to cheer for...I'm sure that you can figure out which "team" was omitted. I would rather my nuts be nailed to a tree stump and be pushed over backwards, than cheer for the Packers.
