Is Starks going to play?
If so, i'd like to see him carry this team. I think he can do it,the question is, will he?
We need a running game, that's for certain. Our O-line is too poor to protect Aaron Rodgers if the D knows we can't run the ball.

James Starks should be active, yes. Alex Green will start.

Green is the man. I really do not think there is a big difference between Green and Starks, but Mike McCarthy will go with the "hot" hand. However, we don't run enough for anyone to be considered hot.

Starks - always falls forward for a gain, won't break any big 45+ gainer, very powerful runner.
Green - quicker, more elusive, better at catching out of the backfield and prone to being tackled for a loss.
Both guys run a 4.5-4.6 40 yard so they are bout equally fast, but Green is a more shifty runner and quicker.
Green
Height: 6-0
Weight: 225
Starks
Height: 6-2
Weight: 218

We need this game.
We can't go 8-2 from here on out.

The Jets just destroyed the Colts. Now I definitely think this is a loss.

I GUARANTEE we will be in it.
We will have a chance, at minimum.

[-x don't underestimate any team in the NFL. There's upsets every week. Like the Browns winning this week. Who thought that would happen?

Nerd's keys to the game:
1: Arodge needs to make plays. If a guy comes open hit him. Shorter passes are higher percentage, less likely to be dropped.
2: Get Cobb involved more. Dude is explosive and dynamic. No one can stop him in the open field.
3: Help Green get going with some misdirection, screens draws and general "Sproles" type plays. Plays that work to his and this offense's strength.
4: Defense needs to hang onto the INTs. If you have a shot at one, get it. Start making those plays.
5: Oline needs to get it done. I'm talking mainly about Saturday and Bulaga. Newhouse is what he is, which is passable, the guards are ok, Saturday gets blown up at times and Bulaga is struggling too. Tendinitis in the knee.
6: Special Teams might come up big.
7: Pay attention to Time of Possession. Don't keep hanging the defense out to dry, year after year. Get with some WCO fundamentals. Wear THEIR defense down instead.

Check the betting thread in the Back Alley. There's a certain someone who put $20 on the Browns.

Giants up 23-3 over 49ers. Sometimes one team matches up to another team's strengths better.
I'm not writing this game off yet. Last week against the Jets the Houston secondary looked a little vulnerable.
Mike McCarthy needs to come out mixing up the offense (slants/short passes, running plays, play action passes, screens), O needs to execute/quit dropping the damn ball, D needs to stop the running game & put them into passing situations where we can get after Schaub.
This is winnable, we just have to bring our A game, not our flunk out of pre-school game.

Not really. Besides the game against the Giants, the Browns were in the game until the very end. Plus they got Vikesrule's favorite coach ever as their Offensive Coordinator. You can't expect a team to go 0-6 with that brilliant mind leading the O, can you?
(I can't say the true reason I picked the Browns because I don't want to give VR any hints on why he keeps losing bets to me).

I know. But the way they were losing games close you would think it became a theme.

On Channel 4 in the UK they're talking to Tania Ganguli from the Houston Chronicle about the Texans.
Thinks she's been on the Gin.

Waits to see if anyone gets it..............
