We keep hearing this comment....
Are the Packers now going to be playing with a "chip" on their shoulder? I believe the Packers play better when they have something to provde. 2010 we had MANY guys step in, trying to PROVE themselves and not wanting to let their teammates down.
This is when the Packers play the best. One of the best examples was Hayward stepping in last night and tipping two passes and intercepting the third thrown at him. That is what I like to see! Thoughts? |
Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another. -Vince Lombardi |

Actually, Heyword defensed 3 passes and picked off 2. |
My man Donald Driver (thanks to Pack93z for the pic) 2010 will be seen as the beginning of the new Packers dynasty. |

This team will still shit itself a couple times, but at least they've saved their season for now. |

Chip or no chip, I'm excited to see the rest of this season unfold. The Packers played with an edge last night, and it was nice to see a complete game on a very important stage. The offensive explosion last night overshadowed a very good defensive performance. Perhaps now we can have a week without too much fan panic. Regardless I'm looking forward to divisional play down the stretch! Go Pack Go!
P.S. I hope DJ Smith is alright... he would really be missed. |

Yeah, this game really turned things around for the team. Finally good to see a real sense of urgency. Plus, we dominated in all aspects of the game, except for STs (but one quick TD wasn't enough to hurt us). |

Up 35-17 with the ball, I was expecting to see the offense playing for the FG. I absolutely LOVED seeing going for the jugular. We need more of that type mentality.

Mike can be too conservative at times. It was good to see some chips on shoulders out there...
By the way.. Speaking of a chip on a shoulder..
Anyone remember Aaron's first year as a starter, there was all of the hate on him and that lady breast cancer survivor made a big deal that Aaron walked by her and did not even look at her? I remember PFT had the video, and seeing the story on ESPN. (Even though Aaron had given her a bunch of autographs already as she is always at the airport.)
I noticed Aaron was one of the few who was not wearing any pink on the field of play?
Wonder if he still has a chip on his shoulder about that.. LOL |

This whole "chip on your shoulder" might be the most ridiculous thing in sports. Like you need self-fabricated motivation to play a game.
Everyone's looking for a reason to have to prove themselves in such a desperate manner. Like that's why they're playing.
"He was 19/29 tonight, missing 10 passes."
"The media was on me all week because my accuracy wasn't there... bla, bla, bla"
But, if it works, keep on doing your thing, I guess... |

I think Arodge is a little bit TOO motivated by that kind of shit. Dude's gonna get cancer holding in all that negative emotion. |

I can't say it was a chip on their shoulders. I think in the Seattle and Indy loss they got the lead and relaxed expecting the pother teams to roll over.
After not learning their lesson the first time it happened it finally sunk in. This is the NFL boys play all out for the full 60 or go home losers. |

That's what made Lombardi great. He had the ability to recognize each in players, then motivated and coached accordingly. |
