Rodgers on the Rams..

Quote:
5. Are the Rams an emerging team in the NFL?

RODGERS: I think so. They're very well coached. They've played a little bit quicker at home, which is natural because you're going to get that extra kind of half-step from the crowd noise. But they've got a good pedigree to have a good defense. They can cover, they have guys that get after the passer really well and when you have a middle linebacker like (James) Lauranaitis who's playing at a very high level, that kind of brings it all together. They've got the right guys in the right places. I think they're primed to really continue to take off under Coach (Jeff) Fisher with the young talent that they have.
I think when there's enough will and aggression, there's no shortage of talent either.

Reckon we continue in last weeks vein.

Packers 34 - 17 Rams.

Packer Offense "on paper" looks to have the better talent, on defense not that much of a difference.
The young guys play the way they did last week then yes Packers should win this game, but with youth you don't get consistency, let's hope they build on last weeks successes.

Clay Matthews should probably consider this a compliment. The St. Louis Rams dressed one of their practice squad guys in a blond wig at practice today in order to help them prepare for the Green Bay Packers linebacker.

The wig was a cheap, curly number, but the message was pretty clear: Pay attention to the guy with the long blond hair.

“That’s a team-issued deal,” Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. “I’ve done that in the past, particularly with Troy Polamalu. When you’re playing great players like Polamalu and Matthews, you like to know where they are on the field, and that helps.”

Linebacker Sammy Brown, who got the honor of pretending to be Matthews, didn’t really enjoy the new hair.

“I had to take it off,” Brown said. “That thing was burning my face.”

The Rams have given up 18 sacks this season, which is the third-most in the NFL. Of course, the Packers have given up 23, which ranks 31st.

I'm glad they did this for Raji, even Jennings. No sense risking them if they're not 100%.

BAD, BAD BAD feeling about this, vis a vis NICK PERRY AND SAM SHIELDS.

Where have we heard this before? OH, IT'S JUST A MINOR INJURY. DAY TO DAY.

Last two home games for the Rams were against Cardinals and Seahawks and combine gave up only 16 points. Impressive.

seatless offense is so awful. We gave up 1 real td to them on a communication break down lol. Their d backs are good but it looks more like illegal play to me. Think Woodson x 10

Hopefully Heyward plays his A game, I'm sure he'll be tested early and often. We should know by now not to take this or any game lightly. If we don't we should be OK. I too like seeing the ijured players given a chance to get 100% healthy, it's along season.

Jennings' injury is starting to worry me.

Of the others, I think the only one that will be particularly significant is Shields. Despite some really bad calls re: interference made by officials, he's had a quiet but very solid year (other than week 1).

What is the status of Nick Perry's injury? I haven't seen squat in the media about how severe it is.There hasn't been much said about Shields injury either.

Shields got a spike in the shin, I can't imagine that can be real serious. Perry was walking around fine on the sideline after his injury, and there hasnt been any noise that it's a serious injury, either. I expect both of them back soon.

The Packers under Mike McCarthy have a history of vastly underreporting the severity of injuries. That's what worries me.

Remember Neal's knee injury last year? "Oh it's nothing. He's day to day."

It was day to day, and then one day he couldn't play. Sarcasm Smile A cleat in the shin might not be serious, but it has to hurt like he11.

I didn't catch which announcer said it. I will blame it on Brian Billick. "Hayward! Gets, his first, second, fourth interception on the year."

Neal returned.

Still haven't heard anything on the severity of the injury. If it's anything like last year, they'll "day to day" him, then a month from now Mike McCarthy will use the word "signifcant."

Not to jinx him of course.
