There is no doubt that some of the sacks are "coverage sacks" just like some of the ints are due to pressure on the QB. You can't have an effective D with out a little of both.

I think the bigger thing than the sack and pressure numbers is the fact that the pressure is coming from more than one spot. Noted that the Dline rotation was better this season, it is showing as we are getting pressure along the front and from the edges. This makes the blitz packages more effective.

We are not dominate, but we are definitely getting pressure.

gonna have to disagree here.

while the sac numbers are up, which is a great sign. GB is still not putting on consistant pressure.

It's been consistent enough. They aren't going to be putting pressure in the QBs face on every play and especially not when teams are using extra protection. If the other team is using extra blockers and the pressure isn't getting there it's still a win because some of their weapons are being taken away. The pressure has overall looked really good this year to me.

I don't claim to be a mind reader, but I can almost guarantee that the opposing QB has CM3 in the back of his mind every single snap.

Sacks are sacks. The numbers don't lie.

That said, we still haven't sacked opposing QBs as much as we've allowed sacks. This has got to change.

It's been solid. Not to overlook these next few games but we'll really see where we are at when we play the Giants. They seem to try to keep everyone in to block Eli and he avoids the rush pretty good. It'll also be a challenge for the DB's but If we come out with 2-4 sacks and a decent amount of pressure.

Having said that, the Houston Texans have a very good O Line and we passed that test.

It's also a win when teams back off the vertical game and go to more 3 step drops, quick screens to the outside, and to their running backs out of the backfield.

We got burned on one big quick outside screen last week but I would much rather see teams try to beat us like this then like it was last year when they were lighting the DB's up downfield and converting way to many 20+ yard plays.

The only time I see that now is when Capers goes to that stupic 3 man rush.

should never be getting beat over the top in a 3 man rush. If you play a sound zone coverage aspect a 3 man rush is a decent play for 3rd and forever. I wouldn't get carried away with it though. I'm one of those guys that likes a 4 man rush minimum. If it's a 3 man rush I'd like it to be a surprise element like a safety or linebacker coming from another area.

The important thing is that it is better than last year. The good thing is that it should continue to get better as our young player gain experience.

Green Bay is leading the league with 28 sacks. Wow.

Offtopic but we are currently tied for 4th in interceptions, but 7 behind the leader. Waaaaaay down the list in forced fumbles. We also have 0 defensive touchdowns, while Chicago has 7.

uffda udfa (1h) : Just rewatched Cobbs hail mary catch in slo mo...he should've been flagged for OPI. Got away with one.
uffda udfa (3h) : Nope. I like Gus.
beast (4h) : Did you want Anthony Lynn as HC? Cushion Bradley was going to follow Lynn where ever.
uffda udfa (5h) : Gus Bradley is new DC in SD/LA. I would've loved to had him here in Green Bay.
uffda udfa (9h) : It's just fine.
musccy (9h) : 5 questionable Packers, none for Falcons. Not good.
uffda udfa (9h) : Jordy not listed as OUT or DOUBTFUL. Questionable on injury report.
uffda udfa (10h) : This is the 6th straight game we've faced someone for the 2nd time. We learn.
uffda udfa (10h) : Aaron: I like our role. I like our chances. (said he relishes being an underdog)
uffda udfa (10h) : Aaron alludes to fake crowd noise at Georgia Dome for Sunday.
uffda udfa (11h) : So, to recap. Losing streak "just the way it is", winning streak "astronomical feat". #Balanced
uffda udfa (11h) : Ironically, he called the turn around "astronomical" not just the way it is in the NFL. #Don'tMissTheIrony
uffda udfa (11h) : Ted tells Demovsky the Packers weren't underachieving when 4-6. Just the way it is in the NFL????
Zero2Cool (15h) : Only time I recall getting annoyed is when they beat a single topic over and over and over.
Pack93z (15h) : Most yes... Heller seems to get it more so... diversity in his coverage... but seemingly can highlight the pressing issues properly.
Zero2Cool (15h) : I'm kind of in the boat that they all are babblying boonies.
Pack93z (16h) : God bless it... Bill Michaels can be a stubborn SOB at times... love his Packers coverage, still think he is a buffoon at times.
Zero2Cool (16h) : Jordy Nelson Named PFWA Comeback Player of the Year
Zero2Cool (17h) : Carter is predicitng the end is in ATL for Packers.
Porforis (18h) : Or I could just completely miss the part where that was Cris Carter.
Porforis (18h) : Careful there. Don't you want to predict a Packers loss just in case?
Zero2Cool (18h) : @criscarter80 :Every fairy tale comes to an end, and this is where the magic carpet ride stops in the ATL.
Zero2Cool (18h) : McCarthy: "JC Tretter actually had surgery Tuesday. He won't be available this week"
Zero2Cool (19h) : Crosby is fine now. Full Participant in practice Thursday
Porforis (20h) : What I'm more worried about at this point is WR injuries and Crosby being sick. Who'd be the backup if Crosby can't go?
Zero2Cool (20h) : We do have hope. Our secondary has improved. Also, he had to throw 80% to get 1 point up. That won't happen again.
Zero2Cool (20h) : I like to tease sometimes.
uffda udfa (20h) : Only 80%? :). We lost by one given that stat? Wish we had hope of tightening up.
uffda udfa (20h) : Z, u should tell everyone who Quintorris is. Quintorris Lopez Jones, better known as Julio.
Zero2Cool (20h) : Matt Ryan completed 80% of his passes against Packers in October.
uffda udfa (20h) : McGinn goes full on attack mode dismissing the notion of "Packers people". Harsh.
uffda udfa (20h) : McGinn says John Dorsey likely to be next Packers GM.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Boom! Davante Adams says last year's ankle injury "more difficult to deal with'
uffda udfa (20-Jan) : Packers brass potentially leaving? Not worthy of discussing. Pressure Cooker? Never enough talk about them.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Put Quintorris in a pressure cooker.
