Quote:
We promise this is an actual lawsuit and not just a harsh snap we heard while playing the dozens: A woman in China was sued by her husband after she gave birth to a baby the husband considered so ugly he insisted she must have had an affair. After all, his wife was gorgeous and he clearly believes he is a dreamboat, so how could they have an ugly baby? When it came to light the woman had had a lot of plastic surgery before they met and the new daughter merely inherited her old face, the man not only divorced his wife, but sued her for the equivalent of $120,000 -- and won. The presiding judge ruled the man had technically married the woman under “false pretenses.” Regardless of how his wife looks, she’s better off without a guy so hideous on the inside.

And I thought lawsuits in the US were ridiculous.

Maybe the kid was ugly because of his "father's" ugly INSIDES.

The guy think's he's all that. That tells you what kind of jerk he really is.
The woman and baby are better off without him.

Which reminds me......back in the mid 1990's i worked at a factory where we had only one black guy working there. He had just started, and didn't have all our names memorized yet. One morning he walked in, turned to me and one of my co-workers Mike,(we both are white) and said "Good morning Al" to Mike and "Good morning Mike" to me.
I paused for a second, and then just couldn't help myself, saying "That's OK Ricky, we all look alike."

At which point all 3 of us burst out laughing!
This was around the time of the O.J. Simpson trial, and i started calling Ricky "O.J.", at which point he threw a curve at me and started calling me "Kato!"Big Grin
I hadn't seen Ricky in about 10 years, when the other day as i'm taking my daily walk i hear "HEY AL!!!!" coming from a car waiting at a red light. Yup, it was Ricky! I love that guy like a brother!(Is it ok for me as a white guy to call him "brother?")
Even after all these years he still has a big hug for me.
Which made me also remember, after the O.J. thing was over, i started calling Ricky "Plasma". He looked at me and said "PLASMA!?!?" I said "Yeah!....you know.....BLOOD!" I thought he was gonna pass out, he was laughing so hard!Big Grin

I prayed my wife cheated on me, so there was no chance my kids ended up taking after me in the looks dept. Especially since I ended up with all girls. Luckily, the one that does resememble my side, takes after my mother and not me.

Does this surprise anyone? Nothing much does anymore.

It is a "I want it now, perfect and with little to no effort, and if I don't get it, it is someone else's fault" society. That is on top of the, it is a matter of looks over substance.

And we so quickly want to sue at first opportunity.

The only surprise to me.. it wasn't stateside.

I think when there's enough will and aggression, there's no shortage of talent either.

this is what I was going to say. That it was China was the real surprise to me. That the judge ruled in his favor was a little more of a surprise. Well knowing how suppressive other nations are with their women I guess I am only mildly surprised at the ruling.

Funny, I think I should be paid some kind of reward for creating my beautiful girls - whether they look like their mother or not.

I may have missed a sarcasm alert, but if not, my only surprise is that you're surprised that it was China. In a country that fines you when you give birth to 2 children and even throws you into jail for doing that, in a country were baby girls are somehow "murdered" because you're by law only allowed to have one kid and that should be a boy to keep "the family" alive, I'm not surprised by anything. Duh!
