My guess is Mike McCarthy would hire a former Saints Center... both Jerry Fontenot (TE coach) and Joel Hilgenberg (Assistant OL coach) are form Saints Centers. Though I haven't been happy with the TEs this year... other than Crabtree... |

This is what is I like how the Packers have built the line. Newhouse, Lang, Sitton, Bulaga, Barclay were all Tackles, so we are very flexible when injury happens. IMO, it is much easier for a Tackle to move inside to play G if needed, than it is for a Guard to move out to play Tackle.
For an FYI.
Lang's arms are 32 3/4" Bulaga arms are 33 1/4" Clifton's were 33'. |

I just know enough to know that Campen is incompetent. I did a post about a week ago about every single OL that has drafted and it's VERY clear that is off the hook. has done his job. It's someone else's fault that they're not being developed. |
My man Donald Driver (thanks to Pack93z for the pic) 2010 will be seen as the beginning of the new Packers dynasty. |

our OL was fine today.. Rodgers needs to not hold the ball all day or get some checkdowns going.

I still don't understates why people want to put the worst guys at OT and the better guys on the inside... people understand the OTs are the ones that stop Allen, Peppers and all of the other 4-3 DEs and 3-4 OLB from drilling Rodgers into the ground on most plays right? Na I just know Mike McCarthy would probably promote from with in and those would be the first couple of options as former or current OL guys. As for OL coaches, Gary Kubiak (Texans head coach) has been GREAT with them. Might be nice to have someone that knows him well and could do the same thing. Also Kirk Ferentz (Iowa head coach)... Ferentz has some connections with Belichick. Ferentz son Brian Ferentz worked for the Patriots from 2008 until 2011... was the TE coach in 2011 (those TEs did well that year).... in 2012 became the OL coach for Iowa. Not sure if he's be interested or good... but might be an interesting option. |

Mike Munchak will probably be fired after this sesason.
Was a highly regarded OL coach before the promotion.

That would be interesting. Also Juan Castillo is out there right now... fired from being the Eagles defensive coordinator (after the offense kept turning over the ball, leaving the defense in ball spots after turnovers)... he was Eagles OL coach the 12 years before that. And the Eagles did VERY well over that time frame. Don't know about their OL over that time... but seeing as the team did well and he lasted a long time on that good team... I would guess he did well... and Donovan McNabb claimed he didn't have weapons... but the offense was still good so the OL must of been giving him time right? |
