If he snares 3 or more TD's before seasons end, I wouldn't be shocked to see Jermichael...

Finley

Sorry, dropped his last name, released or traded.

Wouldn't shock me either, especially if DJ Williams makes it through puberty.

I think he has the potential to be an ALL around TE. Blocking, Route Running, and Catching it.

I'm sure after the bye Mike McCarthy will showcase this kid against the Lions and I predict he will shine!!! Ha Ha I'm Right!

They activated Zombo before Quarless... and had Zombo as a healthy scratch. And there are four other TEs... so I think Quarless is going to mainly on STs for a while. Also all the TEs have been having problems with drops, as well as Quarless has in the past. I don't expect much from him this season... but if he can figure out tracking and catching the ball, he could become a VERY VERY talented starting TE someday.

I don't expect much. I hope he does shine but I am not betting the beehive on it.

You never know he could be this years James Starks coming off the pup.

I don't expect to see much from but I would LOVE to for the exact reason you mentioned. Finley hasn't earned that 2nd year of his contract and I'd rather find a cheaper alternative for his roster spot.

if he can run without a gimp, i'd say it's a success.

that was a nasty boo-boo.

Would love to see him show Finley up so we can drop his sorry ass after the season.
I doubt it happens but fingers crossed on my end.

He could be solid, but no TE on our roster has the ceiling that Finley has.

But yeah, what's the use if you're never actually going to reach it.

I hope he'll just catch what's thrown his way, runs routes, catches ball in traffic... Just be a TE, rather than a weapon. Have that safety blanket, rather than that 5th man deep.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a Gronkowski or Graham, but I'd rather have a Fasano or up-to-speed Quarless than a tier-3-Gronkowski in Finley.

I think tight end is one of the weaker positions on this Packers roster.

Jermichael Finley is underachieving successfully now.
DJ Williams has done nothing.
Andrew Quarless pre-injury wasn't doing anything to warrant us to believe he can unseat Finley upon return.
Ryan Taylor- pure special teams

Crabtree- our best tight end right now. <- Says something.

A little premature but I would love for the Packers to pick a tight end like Tyler Eifert (Notre Dame) in next years draft. Obviously other things would have to happen for this to work but Eifert is someone who already possesses NFL talent and would develop.

Quarless was really coming on imo.

He was always a pass catching TE, but had really learned to block very well.

I felt like the dude had matured off the field and rounded out his game.

He never had much of an impact when he was healthy so I'm not really counting on much from him.

If we lose another tackle, we're gonna need a TE who can block.
