James Starks will definitely be out for weeks. He thought it was a bruise, but did some testing and did not like what they saw. Will be multiple week.
Nelson and Matthews getting better.
Great to have Charles out there. He's getting close. Did some competitive drills.
Will practice in pads. We'll see if Woodson can do so.

So wtf is this shit with NEAL!?

Quote:
Neal, no information. Probably won't know until tomorrow. I don't feel good about what the training staff told me.
Lang, don't have a feeling one way or the other. Not progressing way he would like.

I don't like the sound of this shit with Neal and Lang.

Defensive backs Charles Woodson (broken collarbone) and Sam Shields (ankle) were both on Clarke Hinkle Field Wednesday taking part in all phases of practice.

They might still hold Woody out until the Bears game.

Quote:
WR Donald Driver (thumb) alsoi returned from practice.

Still missing from practice was LB Clay Matthews (hamstring).

Jeff Saturday found his way onto the injury list with a foot injury.

Quote:
Neal, who like Starks has a long injury history, hurt his shoulder against the Vikings. It’s unclear whether it’s the same shoulder that ended his rookie season in 2010, but it didn’t sound good.

“The circumstances around his injury, we probably won’t be able to get the information we need until tomorrow,” McCarthy said. “I don’t feel really good about what the medical staff told me today about Mike, but we’ll be able to get more information tomorrow."

Quote:
McCarthy said Nelson and Matthews’ hamstring injuries were “getting better,” but “I don’t know if they’ll be ready this week.”

CJ Wilson is still not participating. So if we lose him AND Neal, that will leave us with FOUR DL.

Is Lang ready? MM's comments on him kind of freaked me out.

Could be Van Roten.

They could always cut someone (So'oto or 1 of 7 WRs) or IR someone (Manning or Driver)
and make room for another DL

(say one of these FAs)

Phillip Merling
Daniel Muir
Albert Haynesworth
Anthony Hargrove

Also is it just me or are there a lot of former NFC North guys in this list of FA DTs?

That's a good point. We got guys we could swap out.

I'm actually interested in seeing what DuJuan Harris can do. Did I get his name right? That new RB.

I assume they'd bring up Lawrence Guy from the PS.

Looks like you did spell it right (I was gonna question the caps "J" but looks like that's how it's spelled. Mike McCarthy said he's looking good but his main job is STs right now. Sounds like Grant and Green will be the one/two punches based off what Mike McCarthy said.

Lawrence Guy has been a Colt for a couple (7) games now (6 tackles in 5 games played, 3 against the Lions, this last week)

DL Jordan Miller is the current PS DL player... 6'1", 309lbs, 24 years old, college was Southern

I don't know but I'm guessing they'll give Phillip Merling and/or Daniel Muir a call if they're going to add a guy on the DL.

McCarthy said Starks would be out for “multiple” weeks but the team elected to keep him on the active roster, for now, even though the training staff didn’t like the results of testing conducted on Monday.

McCarthy said Saturday is battling some late-season soreness but will be fine for Sunday.

Quote:
Bryan Bulaga said his injury was a “small fracture” of the hip socket, and not a dislocation. He said he met with a specialist on Tuesday and is on track for a “full recovery,” though he wouldn’t say if there’s a timeline on whether he might be back for the offseason practices in the spring.

Hey, maybe we can give Chad Clifton a call... We're bringing back Grant, so why not? And if Crosby keeps shanking, we can call Ryan Longwell back. And then when ARodge gets ground into a fine paste, maybe Brett's getting tired of oogling high school cheerleaders and wants to come back to the pro game?

If we are looking for interior line help.. one option just hit the market. Jeff Faine. Not the player he once was.. but has played at a decent level for the Bengals. They happen to have a couple young options they want to retain.

McCarthy suggested that a roster move could happen before the end of the week. This was in direct reference to the defensive line. #Packers

Quote:
Mike Neal’s chances of playing this Sunday against Detroit are doubtful, but it’s a much better prognosis than the one Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy was bracing for.

GBPG

Quote:
Matthews will miss his fourth consecutive game with the hamstring strain he sustained against Arizona before the bye week.

The Packers will also be without wide receiver Jordy Nelson (hamstring) with defensive end Mike Neal being doubtful to play because of a shoulder injury.

Packers guard T.J. Lang practiced in limited fashion Friday and is questionable to play against the Lions. If he can’t go, rookie Don Barclay would start at right tackle.

Porforis (5h) : Glad to have King back. And House. Packers need 'em.
Zero2Cool (8h) : Good! smack some posts in the forum right?!? :-) can't wait to read it
uffda udfa (11h) : No more clutter.
Cheesey (11h) : Go get him Uncle Ted!!
Zero2Cool (12h) : Former Packers pass-rusher Datone Jones is back on the market.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Good news for #Packers secondary: rookie CB Kevin King and vet CB Davon House (quad) both practiced. King has cleared concussion protocol.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Vince Biegel back on practice field!!
Zero2Cool (21h) : Maybe this little shout has no value if people gonna use it instead of the forum.
Zero2Cool (21h) : He's not writing. He's shouting, and its making the shout kind of without point with the clutter.
buckeyepackfan (18-Oct) : Just like last year at 4-6. The guy is just too funny!
buckeyepackfan (18-Oct) : GOOD news Uffda is already all but writing The Packers off for 2017!
uffda udfa (18-Oct) : Masturbation talk from Barfan? Nothing could make me COME back, quicker.
wpr (18-Oct) : Maybe the shout box needs to take a timeout. People keep using it. ;)
Zero2Cool (18-Oct) : Why do this is in shout? So frustrating. Post in forums. Thanks
Barfarn (18-Oct) : Masterbation will relieve some of that nervous tension!
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Now, a guy they really liked and have groomed for 3 years is the guy. Tons of toys on O. Let's see how it runs with a great coach, now.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : The Flynn Patriots game has been used to say that he is. Seneca and Scott showed otherwise.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Hundley is going to settle the debate once and for all in whether Mike McCarthy is a great coach, or not.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Doesn't speak well to the talent acquired by the org, does it? Easy to say talent is great until Rodgers is gone and you have to see it wit
Porforis (17-Oct) : Could Sam Bradford come into the Packers and post a winning record from here on out? Are there any non-starters in the NFL that could?
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : Teddy is replaceable. Aaron is not. Vikings have a really good defense. We do not. Understand??
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : You are wise enough to know the difference. Right?
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : Here's one for you, Z. Vikes lose Teddy B. and go out and aggressively get Bradford. Packers lose 12 and go out and get a UDFA.
uffda udfa (17-Oct) : :) Evans had a pre-draft visit with Packers.
Zero2Cool (17-Oct) : Put it in a topic. My lord why so difficult lol
