Not sure how many people saw it, but EDS drove Fairley around the pile and into the turf, injuring him on the very next possession we had after Fairley's cheap shot on Rodgers. I cannot believe that it got no coverage during the game broadcast. None. You can barely make it out in the camera shot from the play, but you can see EDS driving Fairley around the pile and burying his punk-shit-ass into the Lambeau Field turf!!! Best part was that Fairley clearly needed help getting off the field after the play. I hope like hell he hurts, still, from that play. Nick Fairley is a fuckin' PUNK!

Thank you EDS!!!!

One could say the Lions have matching DTs.

I had pretty much the same reaction when I saw Fairley getting helped off the field. I wish I could have seen what happened.

Much deserved after that cheap shot on Rodgers. There were about 3 penalties in 1 on that play against him.

Dang it! I didn't see that. I went ballistic when Fairley did that to Rodgers, I think my roommates thought I had gone crazy.

I hate the Lions almost as much as da Bares. So undisciplined and underwhelming!

hims gots an owie.

Quote:

Defensive tackle Nick Fairley left Sunday’s 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers late in the fourth quarter with what Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz said was a shoulder injury.

Fairley walked off the field under his own power -- but next to a team trainer -- after he was driven to the ground from behind by Evan Dietrich-Smith just before the two-minute warning.

Schwartz said Fairley was undergoing tests today but did not offer any insight about how bad the injury is.

Sounds like EDS is our goon.

Took out Suh last year on Thanksgiving. Fairley this year.

My son and I were in row 4 behind the Lions bench.
Near the end of the game Fairley was standing by the heater chatting with my son and was smiling and laughing.
It didn't seem like he was injured or upset about the outcome.
He had come off the field holding his arm but after he was out of the game he seemed pretty jolly.

After reading the initial post I was expecting to see a few "that's a horrible thing to say...you never wish someone gets hurt...I'm apalled!", but was pleasantly surprised that everyone so far has the same mindset as me. Fuck Fairly AND Suh!!!

I'm guessing nobody has an image or video of this, do they? I'm going to start recording games from here on out. =/

I know what you are saying, and I normally don't adhere to that kind of stuff, but Fairley and Suh are special cases. Both of them very dirty players, and I hope they both get their worlds rocked.

What really amazes me is that Fairley got away without a penalty for his hit on Rodgers. I was pissed. Really glad EDS came through at the very next opportunity he had. That was great to see, and I wish we could have seen more.

I have it recorded at home, and can do a quick video of the little that I saw from the game. I just don't know how to post that kind of stuff. I'll try to get that tomorrow.

BTW, just saw that EDS was awarded a game ball Sunday:

"Dietrich-Smith was a key blocker in the Packers’ surging ground attack. He pancaked Detroit’s Nick Fairley on a draw play to RB Alex Green that converted a third-and-2 on the go-ahead TD drive in the fourth quarter. He then threw the key block on LB Justin Durant, pulling around from his left guard spot to undercut Durant at the point of attack as RB DuJuan Harris scooted through the huge hole for a 14-yard TD." http://blog.packers.com/...-balls/?campaign=t121210

Yeah, I still have the game recorded as well. Anyone know what quarter and time this occurred at?

Yeah, it was at 2:26 in the 4th Quarter. You can see EDS drive Fairley all the way around the action to his right and driving him into the turf. Most of the camera shot is of Green in a 2 yd. dust up, but you can see EDS finish him off in the background.

Great, now we'll have fired up cheap shotting twin DTs to deal with next year and years to follow. Thanks EDS!

Well one has anger management issues and probably will be a continued subject of suspensions yearly until he matures.

The other is a pot smoking aloof that may or may not be able to consistently be available or be engaged enough to play up to his potential.

We might not see both on the field in many upcoming match ups. [grin1]

hardrocker950 (34m) : But I put it mostlt on the offense and poor playcalling
hardrocker950 (34m) : I have seen the defense take a lot of flak over the loss..
Cheesey (1h) : Rodgers would have hit open guys. The game plan wouldn't have killed us. Less 3 and outs, and maybe some scores.
beast (2h) : Rodgers wouldn't of abandon attepting to get the ball to Nelson and Adams.
Zero2Cool (2h) : Rodgers with that game plan would have came up short too.
beast (3h) : Yeah the Packers defense got wore out... being on the field so long. Giving longer breathers than 3&out would of helped a lot IMO.
Cheesey (4h) : There wouldn't have been so many 3 and outs, thus keeping our D off the field.
Cheesey (4h) : True, but with the low score we would have had a chance with Rodgers behind center.
Zero2Cool (4h) : Brees is a damn good QB, not giving Capers a pass, not even close.
Zero2Cool (4h) : Saints kicked Packers ass with Rodgers too.
Cheesey (5h) : That's just it. Rodgers needs a DEFENSE as well. And without him, there is NO chance.
beast (6h) : Just fire everyone! Rodgers can do it without them! Hell trade for the healthy Browns players!
Cheesey (8h) : Capers needs to GO. So do players that can't cut it.
Zero2Cool (8h) : Capers presser summed up? INjuries are why we suck. (shut up, coach and adapt)
Zero2Cool (8h) : nearly crapped myself hearing dom capers talk, forgot to close the tab after mccarthy haha
Zero2Cool (9h) : McCarthy said the communication was not good enough on defense yesterday. Injuries in secondary have complicated substitution patterns.
Zero2Cool (9h) : McCarthy again says "I believe in him"... sorry, BS, we saw how you believe in him yesterday.
Zero2Cool (9h) : @The_Green_Gold Highest graded players Kenny Clark & Blake Martinez. It wouldn't be possible to grade an entire defense
Porforis (9h) : Well, it WAS clean until someone 'shouted' in it...
Zero2Cool (9h) : QB Brett Hundley when targeting a WR against Saints: 6-for-15, 54 yards.
Zero2Cool (9h) : clean?
