SF can lose its next two games. which are @ New England and @ Seattle. Then home for a win over AZ. Atl has an easier schedule. NYG, @ Det, Tampa. If GB goes 2-1 and SF 1-2 GB is the 2 seed. Atl would have to go 0-3 and GB 2-1. Both would be 11-5 but GB would have the better conference record. |

As far as I'm concerned, if the Packers get the #2 seed, that might as well be #1 seed bye proxy. I don't know about you guys, but I don't buy the Falcons at all, and feel they will be 1 and done, therefor making all visitors en route to NOLA come thru Lambeau.
Now, getting the rematches with the 49ers and/or Giants that everyone seems to think the outcome would be different in any way for some strange reason, I'm not so sure about. But that hurdle would be attempted to be jumped when the time comes. |

I'm down with someone else knocking out the Giants and 49ers, lol. I think the Packers could take the Seahawks at Lambeau, and could take the Falcons at their place and could take anyone in the North division. |

Winning the division means little to Packers' fans. We don't wear division champ hats.
But sometimes we need a reminder that the Green Bay Packers have won the NFC North the majority (55%) of its existence.
The Bears are 2nd best winning the NFC North 27% of the time and after one of those rare 3 wins by the Bears, the Packers were still World Champions. |

I don't mind it At least we got a home playoff game and are a sure thing for the playoffs 2 weeks before the season ends. It's a luxury. I say screw the past, it means little to nothing to what the outcome is in the future.

Financially, the good teams have an extra home game; Great teams have two extra home games.
Now the league controls tickets revenue but the home team sells more concessions, memorabilia, parking etc. It also does a lot for the local economy (Restaurants, motels, bars, Oneida casino, etc.) |

If we're going to have a good chance of taking out the Giants or 49ers, the game needs to be in Lambeau imo. Tennessee should be a very winnable game and hope the Seahawks can take out SF next week at home. That would give us the inside track to the 2 seed but Minnesota will be playing for the playoff lives not to mention AD going for Dickerson's record. At worst we end up a 3 seed and host a WC game, but getting that two seed would be huge imo if this team has any real chance of getting back to the Super Bowl this season. |

Okay, so division = done.
What will it take for 2nd seed to be locked down? |

If we lose both games, we could have a huge clusterfuck and probably end up with the 3rd or 4th seed. After next week, things won't be so convoluted. |
