I really see no need to have to kill the Giants on our way to a super bowl. Yeah, they beat us earlier this year. Yeah, they knocked us out last year. But they're not division rivals and they don't have any major history with us this year like the Seachickens do.

Boy is that a Kenny Clueless answer. The Giants are one of the four original teams with the Packers, Bears, and Cardinals. Of course we have more history with them than a stupid refereeing error with the Seahags. I could really care less about that anymore, although we would already have the second seed wrapped up.

The "Call" in Seattle, may help the Packers at this point more than hurt them. It provides a extra level of motivation if the Packers and SeaChickens hook up. But that is about the only real meaningful history we have with SeaChickens... other than coaches and front office personnel stepping from GB to Seattle.

The Giants on the other hand have more on field history with the Packers recent and long ago. Dating all the way back to 1938 NFL Championship game. A couple memorable games in the 60's as well.. through the last couple of seasons, including Favre's last game as a Packer.

So indeed, the history advantage definitely belongs to the Giants.. even in recent times.

I think it is due to the time frame I grew up. When the Bears were good, and the Vikes, well not so good. When we play those teams, if the Vikings are not that good, I don't get into the game that much, through I still want to beat them. It doesn't matter if the Bears are good or bad. I want to destroy them.

I don't want us losing to let either team in. I want us to take care of business and how ever the rest plays out, if one of them gets in, we will just have to beat them if we end up playing.

Fair enough, I forgot Matt stuck his foot in his mouth and bit down hard. =d>

I still will bank more history, both recent and past with the Giants.

Zero2Cool (30-Sep) : Why not
hardrocker950 (30-Sep) : Just wonderful - my pick em didn't register....
beast (29-Sep) : I'm not sure if it's still true, but it used to be hard to get sacks on Eli because he'd toss one up when linemen got semi-close (which lead
Zero2Cool (29-Sep) : Slam Eli a lot very early. Once rattled he can't regain composure.
beast (29-Sep) : since slot WRs might be the Packers strength depth/talent wise
beast (29-Sep) : With AR's passing % down field so low, I've been saying they should go with short passes like the Pats used to do, especially since slot WRs
beast (29-Sep) : What's going to be needed against the Giants is OL and DBs (IMO)
Smokey (28-Sep) : Cook(TE) has time to heal, but may not be needed against NYG on Oct 9th .
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : . Aaron Rodgers has a completion percentage of 33.3 on 10+ air yard passes this season (tied for the lowest in NFL).
Zero2Cool (27-Sep) : High-ankle sprain could sideline Cook
Zero2Cool (26-Sep) : Odell Beckham Jr, Dez Bryant, Alshon Jeffery and Julio Jones on tap for Packers. Yippie.
Cheesey (26-Sep) : Arnold Palmer was a class act all around. RIP
Smokey (26-Sep) : Rest in Peace Arnold Palmer, you blessed us all .
hardrocker950 (26-Sep) : What a strange weekend of football
jdlax (26-Sep) : What's up, friends? It's like bizzaro world right now trailing the Vikings. Blah.
GoPack1984 (25-Sep) : Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 6 interceptions!
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Cleveland loses.
The_Green_Ninja (25-Sep) : I swear, Jacksonville's hot weather must be a huge advantage. Kept it super close with the Ravens
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Su'a Cravens with a big INT. A guy I wanted.
TheKanataThrilla (25-Sep) : Can Cleveland win?
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : T.J. Lang said after one of Aaron Rodgers' TD passes the Packers quarterback head-butted Lang in excitement and said "I'm back."
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Terrelle Pryor could see snaps at quarterback
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : inactives 6 Callahan 37 Shields 42 Burnett 52 Matthews 68 Murphy 95 Jones 98 Guion
Mucky Tundra (25-Sep) : GET HYPE
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : Packers aim to showcase speed of Ty Montgomery, Trevor Davis
Zero2Cool (25-Sep) : CB Quinten Rollins will start for Shields. Micah Hyde for Burnett. Julius Peppers for Matthews. Kenny Clark for Guion.
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Probably will not be on the top of the Pick'Em leaderboard after today, soaking it in beforehand
Tezzy (25-Sep) : Foosball!
