In what could have been his final chance to suit up, possibly contribute, and walk off the field in his Green Bay Packers uniform.... the Packers choose not to suit him up.

While I am torn over having the best 46 available to help beat the Vikings, I also feel for Donald Driver.

He has been a loyal Packer throughout his time in Green Bay, made a ton of big catches for the Packers. Held together the team with his words, leadership and smile.

If this is how it ends, it feels oh so empty. Something less than what the end of the story should be.

Last time I felt like this is the William Henderson end.

I am not criticizing the Packers decision, not in the least, just think the possible end seems so dim compared to what joy Driver has brought to Packer nation.

Hopefully... with a little luck included, he may get another chance in the Championship game in Green Bay.

The off season is something I'm not thinking about right now.

Shame Donald broke his thumb, but as with the Woodson,Benson,Starks, and the plethera of LB injuries, it gave younger guys the chance to develope and prove themselves this year.

I to hope DD gets one more chance to play in front of The Lambeau crowd, that would mean Packers would be playing to go to The Superbowl against either Wash. or Seattle.

Whatever happens the rest of this season, I am not convinced DD will be gone next year, it all depends on off-season decisions, which again IMHO this is not the time to think about.

There's no crying in football. A fitting end for Donald would have been to retire after last season when he was already done. This whole season was his goodbye tour. Wasn't that enough?

Feel bad for my dad. He retired from being a sanitation engineer after he broke his back. And he did'nt make 1.8 a year.

Both of you are COMPLETE ASSES!!!!!

Enough Said!!!

Edit: I apologize, DD has meant more to this team standing on the sidelines this year than any of you will ever know.

Like i said, not gonna worry or think about it now, this topic is for the off season.

If we play our cards right, and the football gods smile down on us, maybe Donald DOES get another shot in front of the Lambeau crowd to play in the NFC Championship game. I would love to see that too. Gotta take care of some business first.

If the game does come back to GB I don't see DD suiting up but the fans will still give him a show of appreciation post game.

They could of caught drive at a bad time on the cameras but he looked sad when they had him on there. I can tell his love for this game. I will miss this guy. Hope he is still with football long after he retires.

I am sure they had someone keeping an eye on him and when they could get the "sad look shot" they turned the camera on him. more dramatic that way.

I got a better idea. The players should be working 110% on getting a Ring for DD.

I got moved from short, to 2nd, then to first. It was explained to me that I was going to 1st for my "leaping ability".

18 years on that team, watched the snot-noses take over...

A team my best friend and I started.

I once took leave and flew home from Africa for the playoffs...

I was one hell of a first-baseman!

GD snot-noses. Boo hoo! ThumpUp

Donald will be a "one hell of a"--- whatever he does.

He'll go back to dancing. And being a husband and father.

He'll be happy. Football isn't everything. DD's got one heck of a beautiful family and he's got millions in the bank. He'll be fine.

Now as I said, let's get him one more Ring this year.
