Can someone who knows more about him and his job share their thoughts on the possibility of the Packers losing him?

I don't know much about his job responsibilities, but this trend of other teams poaching the Packer's personnel department certainly is a ringing endorsement of how the Packers run their front office and the Ted Thompson "tree" that is starting to develop.

John Schneider in Seattle
Reggie McKenzie in Oakland
Now possibly John Dorsey in Kansas City or some other GM vacancy

Who's next, Eliot Wolf?

Its funny to think of all the arm-chair internet GMs with their "fire TT" nonsense now isn't it?

When Ted Thompson retires I would like to see John Schneider come home to GB. I'd hate to lose Dorsey, but wish him good fortune, except of course, when going against the Pack. He has been a "gallant and loyal Knight in the Packers round table". I think it would take a pretty good offer, from what I understand he and his wife both really like Green Bay.

Just about any GM job would be a "good offer". Except Dallas. There may be more money in Dallas than in KC or Jacksonville but at least those GMs don't have to put up with a egomaniac. Yeah I know Jones is the owner, President and GM. But there is:
• COO/Executive Vice President/Director of Player Personnel – Stephen Jones
• Assistant Director of Player Personnel – Tom Ciskowski
• Director of Football Administration – Todd Williams

who does the day to day work. Also consider that Jerry is sitting his kids into the mix as well. Jerry Jr is Exec VP and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Stephen Jones Chief Operating Officer / Executive Vice President / Director of Player Personnel

edit- Heck I missed it. Jerry's little girl even gets to sit in a big chair.
Charlotte Jones Anderson Executive Vice President / VP of Brand Management / President of Charity Foundation

uffda udfa (3h) : Sam Shields still having headaches but wants to continue playing.
uffda udfa (4h) : Not harsh. Another failure and playoff embarrassment.
uffda udfa (4h) : Aaron cried a little when asked about Jordy playing today.
GoPack1984 (4h) : Dismal season? I think that's too harsh.
uffda udfa (4h) : Packers should have never been 4-6. Dismal season.
GoPack1984 (4h) : ...with the current defense.
GoPack1984 (4h) : Good season. Great rebound from 4-6. Would have loved to have seen them go to the Super Bowl and win, but I don't know if that was realistic
uffda udfa (4h) : •thanks Shakespeare.
The_Green_Ninja (4h) : Mike at the end of the day is with the team every day and knows what is needed and not needed. Don't be surprised if Mike helps push the cha
Nonstopdrivel (4h) : Bated*
uffda udfa (4h) : It won't change until Ted is gone. I await that day with baited breath.
uffda udfa (4h) : Nobody has ever lost a championship game by as big of a margin as us. Title Town revolt.
uffda udfa (4h) : Did I hear wrong or was that the biggest beatdown in championship game history? Nice.
Nonstopdrivel (4h) : ndedly fill in all the holes on the roster.
Nonstopdrivel (4h) : I do get the same sort of complacent vibe from the Packers front office that cost Bill Polian his job. You can't rely on the QB to single-ha
The_Green_Ninja (5h) : Thomas Brady has been given tools his whole career. It's up to the Packers to start doing the same.
The_Green_Ninja (5h) : As much as I loved brett, Aaron is right. We need more tools and HE is the QB that deserves the tools
shield4life (5h) : & management
shield4life (5h) : Blame the coaching
The_Green_Ninja (5h) : This is near the same time Brett started saying the same stuff.
uffda udfa (5h) : That is exactly what Aaron is saying. We don't do what needs to be done to win. Same song over and over.
uffda udfa (5h) : Aaron is a troll and a hater and doesn't understand the game. Who is he to say such things?
Zero2Cool (5h) : Probably reading into it wrong, but I think he's saying to front office. Do. More!
Zero2Cool (5h) : Rodgers says "We just gotta make sure we're going all-in every year to win....we can take a big step this off-season"
uffda udfa (5h) : MM: We ran into a buzzsaw today. LOL. U came with no tools at all.
hardrocker950 (6h) : They showed up and played, we crawled in and died...
mojaveson (6h) : Kudos to the Falcons. I hope they win the Super Bowl.
uffda udfa (6h) : All credit to ATL. Not a word about needing to get better.
Zero2Cool (6h) : Ran out of talent, something we didn't have a plethora of on defense (my opinion)
uffda udfa (6h) : MM: Ran out of gas but proud of his guys.
