Yes this thread is reactionary to the game but it is time to let him go. Last year he failed and this year has shown that he cannot adjust. It is time to find someone/anyone else to run this defense.
The O has plenty to account for with this game too and I wouldn't mind bringing forth the same question for the Offense. At the end of the day, the loss of Philbin has been felt by this team, especially on the fundamentals. |

2009 we sucked against every decent QB we faced.. Only to give up 50 to the cards in a WC loss
2010 GREAT year!
2011 worst pass D in history
2012 made bad teams look good, and good teams great.

The short answer is that You cant really go anywhere but up. The long answer is that it will be a tough year to find much from the outside due to all the vacancies. Lovie smith would be interesting if available. |

Any DC that actually tries to adjust in game is an upgrade IMO. Capers seems to just stick to his gameplan and never adjust which is killing us.
Other words:
If the game plan works against a certain team this defense looks amazing! If the game plan doesn't work against a certain team this defense looks horrible!
What makes me think that Capers never adjust and that's why they are still going down the field as I type! |
