I think it would be interesting to see..
Applause ratio = applause points/ total posts.

Member X has been applauded 500 times and has 1000 posts?
So, 2 posts per applause? Or .5 post per applause?

two fun statistics maybe
1. session logging ie who spends the most time logged into the site (enforce with timeout so people dont just log on and go to bed)
2. "game day gift of gab" dont know if the java app logs that but seeing who writes the most while the game is on.
1. Please no. None of you need to know how many hours I spend on this site hitting f5 hoping for new posts.
2. I doubt the app on the site would do any logging, but there are plenty of scripts that can be run inside of irc (what you see on the website is actually just a regular old irc channel) that can log and organize stats anyway you want them to.
sidenote, where the hell is the ignore button?

So, yes, two posts per applause.
I would actually like that adition, as well.
I like Foster's addition, as well, just so I can see what you've made of that clusterfuck of a suggestion, Z2C, because I'm pretty sure he just found a way to incorporate every 2nd person on this forum in his category.

Kevin I like how you updated the Top Ten drop down box.
I realize you are not posting a this time but I have noticed your behind the scenes efforts. At least some of them.

That project will be overhauled. It needs more ability for expansion in the design and implementation.

gets applause/applause. (who is a miser and doesn't give the but still gets from others.)
most ignored poster.
poster who ignores others the most. (actually does anyone really use the ignore button?)
I do like the 10 ten poster per day. I have seen it on other sites in the past and it was kind of interesting.
On the posters who have not posted in a while put a link so we can all pm them and tell them to get back over here.
1: Top 10 members who've received applause, but haven't given applause.
2: Add link to Last Active Top 10 to members profile.

How about:
1. Posts since poster put his foot in his mouth.
2. Posts since poster got pissed off. (a "pissed off and post" button next to the "post" button)
3. Posts since poster pissed someone off. (a "pisses me off" button next to the applaud button)
1: No way to track this.
2: No way to track this.
3: No way to track this.

1: This would only track the most recent LoginTime vs LastActiveTime, but it is doable. - Edit, this is not possible after all.
2: Considering the IRC channel does not sync exactly with the members names, this would be very inaccurate.
- Example, PH's Jacob, is not the IRC channel Jacob.

1: Highest ratio from NumPost : Applause
2: Higheset ration from Applause : NumPost

It can be done to a probably decently accurate point though.
Create a bot/script that idles the channel and tracks the random shit and saves it by irc nickname
For the most part people use the same nickname in irc as they do on the forums. Obviously, first names, such as Jacob would not work because freenode is a vast network, but for 95% of the members it would probably be accurate.
Create something on the site that would be able to pull data from said ircbot and populate those stats onto a web page based on requests (webpage requests converted into .commands in the irc channel directed at the bot then have its output redirected to said webpage)
obviously, that is a lot of work, and i never expect any1 to care to do it. I was just throwing out a way it would be possible to have this and have it be mostly accurate.
On another note, a quotebot for the channel would be nice. That way I could add the dumb things people say in chat to be remembered forever (like on saturday when some dude tried to say "see that, ted thompson, drafting olineman in the first round pays off!" not realizing he did that 2 years in a row...)

You might not be aware of this, but I am a stickler for accuracy and if I'm going to create something, it has to be 100%, not 99%. The amount of time it would take to develop such script/app, only for it to be less than 100% would be defeating. I like the idea ... I just don't like the impossibility of being 100%.
