For the most part people use the same nickname in irc as they do on the forums. Obviously, first names, such as Jacob would not work because freenode is a vast network, but for 95% of the members it would probably be accurate. You might not be aware of this, but I am a stickler for accuracy and if I'm going to create something, it has to be 100%, not 99%. The amount of time it would take to develop such script/app, only for it to be less than 100% would be defeating. I like the idea ... I just don't like the impossibility of being 100%. |
