A rough transcript of the last few seconds of Aaron Rodgers show with Jason Wilde...
Aaron Rodgers said:I just want to thank the fans, obviously for listening to the show. I know we get some more every, uh, every year, uh, as evidenced by some of the questions from the locker room. People are at least talking, uh, about it or listening to it, so I appreciate that. I appreciate the questions. Jason you do a great job and uh don’t shy away from asking the tough questions. I hope, I hope this show, you know, does what, what I hope it does and it allows people to see uh, a little bit more of the stuff you might see if you just watch a press conference on Wednesday or watch me on the field on Sunday and I do appreciate the support. We’re sorry about how the way the season ended but we are going to have a resolve for next year to, to make it better that is all I can as far as that goes.

They need another come to Jesus team meeting like in 2010.
Of course he is sorry. He probably doesn't want to be sitting at home right now either. I'm not sure how them having a resolve to do better next year is going to change things. It'll have to translate to actionable items on the field.

I'm reminded of a coach from one of the Texas universities saying "I give the same speech every game...it works much better when my players are more talented".

Maybe Rodgers sits in the war room with Ted and Co. during the draft and picks some offensive linemen and then pulls out his own personal checkbook to sign a free agent to the offensive line or runningback position. There is your resolve for next year...at least offensively.

They need a decent defense. They beat the lower level teams, but lose it against the better ones.
If the D doesn't improve drasticly, the results won't improve either.
And the O-line needs some serious upgrades.
Of course you only have so many draft picks and money.

Oh, they "are going to have a resolve" to "make it better next year"
Mark my words, they won't even make the playoffs unless there is stronger commitment.

Actually, this teams not that far away from having a good defense.
If we can draft a versatile 3-4 DE that can add some rush or address our needs at safety it would be a good step forward. Let's not forget as well that will be having Bishop & Perry back and both of those two players are talented and could make strives.
The offensive line as well needs some touch ups, now getting Bulaga back at 100% will make our o-line better. Hoping as well Sherrod is 100% healthy and can finally make a push or challenge a little in the depth. Drafting other lineman won't hurt us either.
What I would love to see is maybe if we can sign a decent HB to help carry the load. Just don't think Green or Harris will be that effective coming next season, all tho I would gladly hope they prove me wrong.
