Dave Robinson is now in the Hall of Fame.
Okay, clearly I failed to word this properly. Yes, Brett Favre is most likely the next Packer player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The question is, other than Jerry Kramer who most all of us agree should have been inducted years ago ... what other Packer player is long overdue?

Brett Favre isn't even eligible and I highly doubt there is going to be any delay on his entry into the Hall of Fame. If not his first year of eligibility, then the second at the very latest.

yes sit this is true. the point is no one else will be selected before he comes eligible.
The only way Kramer gets the nod is if he does a Santo and dies thereby getting the sympathy votes.

The point is who should be NEXT that has been over looked. Gosh, I really worded this one terribly, apparently.

all right. I glanced at the likely candidates and came up with 10 possibles. (I probably paid more attention to the top of the lit than the bottom so I most likely missed someone.)
Lionel Aldridge
John Anderson
John Brockington
Willie Buchanon
LeRoy Butler
Paul Coffman
Lynn Dickey
Cecil Isbell
Larry McCarren
Sterling Sharpe
Of these the 2 most probable would be Isbell and Sharpe.
Isbell was a key player in the late 30s's and early 40's. He helped establish the passing game with Hudson. Playing only 5 years is his biggest problem. A couple of more years would have given him more credibility with the Hall.
Sharpe too would have made it if he played more. As it was he was a 5 time Pro Bowler and 3 time All Pro.

LeRoy Butler.
Greatest safety I've seen, other than Nick Collins.
Jerry Kramer needs to get with the Freemasons. Or since he was a Packer, maybe the Knights of Columbus.

Paul Coffman would probably self identify as a Chief. But he was very good. Sterling should definitely get consideration.

Nobody from any team should be allowed in until Jerry Kramer is awarded his rightful place in the HOF. Period.

Ron Wolf would be my choice, even though he's obviously not a player. He's the architect of the '90s Packers, and his blueprint paved the way for success into the '00s and the '10s. In addition, he had excellent runs in Oakland and Tampa Bay. I'd like to see him get in as a contributor.
