it's nice to get him out the north but it sucks that a team like the Hawks are going to be that much better with him.

ESPN said:The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to trade wide receiver Percy Harvin to the Seattle Seahawks, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The trade is expected to include the Seahawks' 2013 first-round draft choice being swapped to the Vikings, sources told ESPN.
It also is contingent on Harvin agreeing to a new contract and is expected to be finalized in the next 48 hours.

The Vikings aren't losers in this trade, either, though. And the full compensation isn't even known, yet.

My first thought when I saw this trade: Good! He didn't go to the 49ers!
My second thought when I saw this trade: Sh*t! Hopefully he'll be a locker room cancer!

Hopefully not, but I do have this feeling it might be the case. In the relationship world, the Vikings are the guy that seems to date all your ex-girlfriends.

you mean the ones that use to be hot but now they are 5-7 years older and they have a little bulge around the middle and they sag a little more today than they did 5 years ago? The ones who expect you to spend more money on them today?

As I've been saying to my Viking friends on Facebook.. I'm not happy Percy is no longer in purple, but I can't say I'm surprised and CAN say that it had to happen. Percy has said many times the past year that he wanted out. My mindset has always been in instances like these, if a player wants out and is coming up on the end of his contract, get something out of him at least. The Vikings did that. And boy did they ever.. Last I heard, Percy was projected as a 3rd rounder, 2nd rounder at BEST. And now all of a sudden the Vikings are to be getting at least a first rounder and some change (I heard 2 more picks between this and next years drafts)?? I'll take it.
Two dream scenarios for me include using one of them first rounders for Victor Cruz and dropping the other on a WR in the draft or sending both to AZ for Larry Fitz.
I said they were dream scenarios, though.

They definitely got a lot for a guy who didn't want to be there. I do question trading within the NFC.

Meh. If the team is willing to part with 3 draft picks, by all means.. It sucks, though, as the Vikings will have a game next season at Seattle. You know Percy will be playing fired up that day.

So the vikies lose or they lose to the team that Harvin is on. No difference because Harvin is there. [laughing]
edit and yes you do.

I was thinking the same thing, WPR.
AFC, NFC, what does it matter? The Vikings will lose to either one anyways.[grin1]
