Along with the Ravens, Titans, and Cowboys. How do you guys feel about this one?

I say don't get too excited, Thompson doesn't spend much in FA (even when it gets a bit cheaper) unless he think it's the right guy and there is a hole in the depth chart.

Last year rookie McMillian showed a good bit of potential but couldn't keep the starting spot because too many mistakes but he was a rookie. And it's said most players make their biggest jumps from year one to year two.

Also I'm still surprised FS Kerry Rhodes seems so cold on the open market after being cut a bit later.

I like the idea of a veteran safety that would improve the overall play of the deep backs. We have needs in other areas but we also have more veterans in the other groups like LB, OL, etc.

I would like to see a move like this over a 1st or 2nd round safety because IMO we would get a higher level of play over the next couple of years as it just seems the Safety position takes some time and bumps along the way in the learning process.

Sign Huff and Finley. This way they could pick up another TE if need be later in the draft and Ted could concentrate on other positions early in the draft.

With Huff, Bishop, and, Perry, along with maybe a big body early in the draft we would certainly be starting out the year on defense a lot stronger then the way it ended last year.

The Ravens cut Bernard Pollard and they don't know what Ed Reed will wind up doing, which leaves them in need of some help at safety. That explains why the team has expressed interest in free agent Michael Huff, who has spent the last seven seasons with the Raiders. Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports

I like him. Dude can play. He's 30, but we've got McMillian coming up behind him. Kid could use a mentor.
