Jones is playing the role Brandon Chillar use to for us, nickel linebacker. Yeah he's not a starter, but should starters who's asses are pulled off the field on 3rd down, like Pickett and Hawk, be paid full starter scale? Jones played his ass for us last year, and his contributions go pretty much un-noticed. He's had an injury plagued career so far, so let's hope that's behind him now and he becomes the player we thought we had in 2009.

Dunno that he's injury plagued, but the dude can run with TEs.

For some reason, we see the value of the pass-happy league the way we stack our offense, but when it comes to defense, we load up on run stuffing ILBs. We need at least one guy who can cover.

It came as a surprise to some that LB Brad Jones was able to land a three-year, $11.25 million that included a $3 million signing bonus, but the amount of interest he got from other teams drove the price up for the Packers and forced them to pay him like a starter.
