This is hardly a shock considering the injuries.. probably a guy that is being let go early enough to try and hook on with another team. Too bad.. I liked the kids talents. Even if he played for the B'eyes.

And along with that news, looks like Benson may be re-signing with the Packers.

The Packers have waived running back Brandon Saine, Ty Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported Wednesday. The 24-year-old Saine appeared in six games for Green Bay in 2012. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in Green Bay's Week Six win at Houston and missed the remainder of the campaign. Saine's agent,

Won't be long now.

Too bad he couldn't stay healthy, the guy had some talent, UDFA's are always a long shot to make it in the NFL, sitting on the sidelines isn't going to help.

Hope he gets a chance with another team.

I don't think this really means anything. I fully expect him to get a chance to make the team if/when he is healed and ready. This just freed up a spot to give some other kid a shot while saine mends. Its not likely that some team is going to come scoop him up while recovering from the ACL injury. Would probably be lucky to be ready for camp, which would mean he would need to be put on PUP and get paid the 555K.

good luck to the lad. I know many had high hopes for him when he was in the G&G. I didn't see anything that would get me too excited. Perhaps that was because I got burnt when I had high hopes for Sam Gado, Vernand Morency, Noah Herron, Brandon Jackson, DeShawn Wynn, Kregg Lumpkin, (no not Lumpkin), Najeh Davenport and Tony Fisher only to be let down.
