I doubt it, because Rodgers doesn't seem like he needs money all the time (like say Revis does). He also shares an agent with both Matthews and Raji. Also he's been quoted as saying he thinks they'll get a new contract before he does... and next year is a contract year for them.

I don't know how much this plays into it, but QB's usually have a longer shelf life than DB's so maybe that's why Darrelle (sp) Revis is trying to get as much money as possible?

Revis held out 2 times in 4 years. I don't think he needs a reason for it. As soon as he gets all his bonus/guaranteed money he is guaranteed to hold out.

Upon talks of Aaron Rodgers' new contract extension, I thought it was pretty funny to pull up this old news and read through the comments when Rodgers received his first contract extension back in 2008.
Link- Green Bay Press GazetteA lot of crow was consumed in later years by these folks...

TT's going to sign a bunch of his own guys and no FA's that could really help this team.
Get ready for a bunch of mediocre football.
This team may always be kind of good, but they will never be great, and they will never be Champions because of moves like this.
Ted Thompson doesn't understand what Ron Wolf did.
You build a nucleus of a team through the draft, and you put it over the top by signing KEY freee agents for need.
Ted Thompson is in love with himself so much he will only depend on the draft, and that will be his un-doing.

Ted Thompson said:Aaron is a true professional and a special player. He works hard, is humble, and is focused on his actions, on and off the field. He is an excellent teammate and pushes himself and others to be the very best. We are happy to reach an agreement to extend his career with the Packers.

So is the 5 year extension adding onto his 2-years left?
So it would be a 7-year 127.5 mil? Or 7-year 110 mil?
110 mil + 17.5 left on his contract?
