Might just be me... but I don't want "the face of Packers Rushmore" to have ever played for a division rival.

Also with the Packers history I would prefer someone in the further past. Because the past is forgotten enough, having them as the face would talk about remembering it. Like Lambeau and Lombardi.

A owner of a divisional rival loaned the Packers money way back when ...

And France GAVE America money, munitions, soldiers and naval forces during the American Revolutionary War, which were essential to defeating Great Britain, but no Frenchman got to be the face of America's Mt. Rushmore...

The only things France gained were large debts, deaths and bragging rights that they helped Thirteen Colonies defeat Great Britain.

Thank you for one of the most off base analogies, ever. And don't we have a monument from the French anyway?

Anyways, I voted Lombardi, Lambeau, Starr and Hutson.

Poor analogy hahahaha. That would apply more to somebody like Reggie White who had a great career elsewhere and finished up in Green Bay. Thomas Jefferson went to France and got all cozy with the frogs of his day, and his face is still on the mountain.

Then please explain why you quoted my first point and added this.

You missed the point, they did America the favor and they gave us the monument, when in theory we should of given them something for helping us.

Even even though the French and divsional rival did something for us it doesn't mean anything when talking about the US or Packers Mt. Rushmore.

I'm not sure Reggie White even deserves to have Packers #92 retired, definitely not one spot of four on all time greatest Packer players/coaches.

As I've gotten older, I've come to realize, there is a whole generation, maybe even two, who have no memory whatsoever of Lombardi, Starr, Hornung, Nitschke, etc. Hell, I am 66 and I don't have any memory of Hutson or Lambeau. Because Favre is fairly fresh in the memory of a lot more people, if there ever was a Packer Rushmore - which there won't be, and if it was determined who by democracy, which it probably wouldn't be, Favre would be in it.

What is more relevant is the Ring of Honor, and they all should be in that.

He went to France while working for the US and never tried to "stick it" to the US. Nor was he rumored to give info to others that were trying to defeat the US.

I didn't mean to say he did hahahaha, just that he was big elsewhere then came here - kinda the opposite of the Favre situation.

I surrender on the Jefferson in Frog land thing hahahaha. The level of anti-Favreism never ceases to amaze me.

After thinking about all the debate, which is interesting, on the Rushmore thing, I believe it is not a good concept to recognize 4 Packers. There are just too many greats in the past to draw the line there. Two really stand out in Lambeau and Lombardi but after that the line becomes blurred. As mentioned the Ring of Honor seems to do a better job.
