Quote:Aaron Hernandez has come under suspicion since the body of a friend, 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, a semipro football player, was found in an industrial park about a half-mile from Hernandez's home on June 17. Police have said only that the death is being treated as a homicide.
Apparently Odin Lloyd and Aaron Hernandez were dating sisters and Hernandez has a child with the one he's dating (or dated). I don't know the details, although after hearing they were dating sisters and Hernandez destroyed his surveillance camera, his phone and had a professional cleaning crew clean his home hours after the murder ... I wonder if Odin was caught cheating and Hernandez 'boys' took matters into their own hands.
Murders, unfortunately, happen everyday. It takes the involvement of a NFL player for it to be newsworthy.

Aaron Hernandez has been arrested. Presumably pursuant to a warrant.

I do not believe he pulled the trigger but I do believe he was an accessory to the crime itself. Such a shame.

The Patriots have released tight end Aaron Hernandez, roughly 90 minutes after he was arrested on a charge that has not yet been identified.

Insufficient data to form an opinion.

I guess I better cut him from my fantasy teams hahahahaha. Maybe it's like with O.J. - the victim "needed killing" as we say down here in Texas.

I guess some people have him convicted already.

I think Ted needs to get on the phone and dangle one or two of our tight ends to Billicheat. Who knows if Gronk will ever make a full recovery.

UPDATE:
Quote:Rapoport reported Wednesday that Gronkowski will start the preseason on the physically unable to perform list, according to a person informed of the decision. It's unknown whether Gronk will begin the regular season on the PUP list.

TE isn't a strength for the Packers so no reason to trade a TE to the Patriots.
Granted, Aaron Hernandez' actions appear that of a guilty person ... with him being cut and now jerseys of his no longer available for purchase ... what if he is innocent of murder? I think everyone turning their back on him could effect him very negatively, especially if he already has some gang ties.

I'm still proud of the Packers for not cutting Jolly. They were shackled by the league in what they could offer in help. If allowed, I believe the Packers would have gotten him the help he needed with addiction.
Now the Pats have just hung their player out to dry before he even goes to trial. I guess that's their call, but maybe they should let the legal process happen?

Maybe, as they say, "somebody knows something" hahahaha. There's a big difference also between a Grape Coke Cocktail and a body to be disposed of. The damn shame is that the Ravens and the NFL didn't give Ray Lewis this kind of treatment when his posse offed somebody.

Apparently the Patriots were ok with the guns and association with a murder, but that he destroyed video equipment was just over the line and they cut him.

It's been reported that the Patriots had decided they were going to cut him if he were arrested due to the death of Odin Lloyd.

If he's guilty, he effected the victim very negatively. The dude was shot in the head execution-style. Regardless of who pulled the trigger, I know that catching a round in the back of your head and dying is a very big negative.

agreed. cutting a player before the verdict sets a bad precedence.

I was wondering why the hell you found that so funny until I made the video equipment connection.

Far fetched theory, yes, but it was a rental car that Aaron Hernadez had in his name (unless that changed and it was actually HIS car). His buddies could have done it and threatened to harm his daughter if he ratted them out. There is a chance, albeit tiny chance that he is innocent and was blackmailed. I know if someone threatened to kill my daughter and I believed they could do it ... yes, I'd destroy my phone, my TV, surveillance video, whatever items I had if it meant my daughter would be more safe.
Again, that is a far fetched theory. I'm just saying ... Patriots jumped the ... umm ... they acted very quickly and non-supportive to their "family". As someone else mentioned, perhaps they know more than my ignorant ass lol.

I hope you're right. I have nothing against him, other than the fact that he's one hell of a football player and is not on my team.
