Aaron Rodgers is quite possibly the best quarterback I have ever seen. I'm an old guy. I saw every snap of Bart Starr, Johnny U, Staubach, et.al. All the names we argue...

The rap on him was arm-strength and fragility.

lol

Imagine what it was like for MM, Ted and Brett to see what they actually had. It was NOT just the draft pick, it was the skills displayed subsequent to the pick. I bet it scared the shit out of Brett Favre. He saw it way before we did.

Why do you think he refused to sit out with a broken thumb while putting up a 70.9 rating for the year?

He didn't want to get Favred like Majkowski.

The Streak was Favre's most treasured stat.

When Rodgers started zippin' that ball in, (in practice) I'd speculate there were some "day-ums", whistles, and what-not. (In a Brett Favre camp, with someone else throwing) Bet Brett Favre was not used to that. It's speculation, but I did play quarterback, plus I've stayed in several Holiday Inns. [laughing] Favre was fully cognizant of his own capabilities and limitations on that day. I bet he saw trouble, real trouble, on the horizon for him, personally. Look at the results that we do know about...

How many of you would not have shit-canned Favre for what we have now, in retrospect? Maybe he saw it coming?

In a New York minute - and it all leads to how the guy handled the situation as to how he should be viewed by Packers fans. Favre handled the situation like a scorned middle aged women being replaced by the young, hot girl. He really didn't need to have the emotional retirement, then make a circus of training camp, and ultimately go sign with the Vikings. He could have just asked to be traded like a man would have. But then he wouldn't have been able to handpick Chilly to control.

I am so tired of your shit. You didn't see every Bart Starr play and you sure as hell never EVER ever played quarterback. You do not have the mental fortitude to play the position outside of tossing ball back an forth with one of your boys. You could stay at a Platinum Holiday Inn and still couldn't toss the rock, so sit down boy and tell us about aisle 13. :)

I realized what the Pack had in A.R. from what I saw during the Dallas game when he filled in for Favre.

What was Ted supposed to do? Trade for Randy Moss?

I believe he's referring to how Brett Favre and the Packers severed ties. Both sides have agreed that it could have been done better. Again, Mike McCarthy chose to not have Brett Favre as his QB, not Ted Thompson, so the whole Randy Moss thing ... doesn't fit whatsoever.

uffda udfa (now) : Don't discuss Packers brass during game week. Cooking appliances are more interesting.
uffda udfa (2m) : I grew up in Wisconsin. Don't u see you created your own irony?
uffda udfa (6m) : Or pecans or walnuts? That is nuts.
uffda udfa (7m) : That's hilarious. No GM talk says u but let's talk cooking appliances?
uffda udfa (7m) : Meanwhile, you're talking turkeys, crock pots and pressure cookers.
uffda udfa (8m) : Smokey...U complained about too much Eliot Wolf talk not game talk.
uffda udfa (9m) : Disagree. He choose to roll into endzone. Safety was right call.
Smokey (9m) : U2, take your Texas redneck thinking and serve it with your pot of beans .
uffda udfa (9m) : Said maybe 1 yard line but no control until on goal line.
uffda udfa (10m) : Claimed momentum carried into endzone.
uffda udfa (11m) : Claimed it could never been ruled a safety.
uffda udfa (11m) : Mike Pereira explained on Twitter what he should've on FOX.
Smokey (11m) : Keeping them thread separated is the key. Fan Shout is for any and all members to post as they please. No one voted you King U2 .
uffda udfa (12m) : This is for NFL stuff. Not crock pots or crack pots.
uffda udfa (13m) : Shout is not back alley. Not your forum either.
Smokey (14m) : Cooking, or travel, or our favorite movie have every right in this forum.
Smokey (16m) : It is not, YOUR FORUM . Even politics is tolerated in the Back Ally .
uffda udfa (24m) : I love cooking but this is a Packers forum not Iron Chef.
Smokey (26m) : Anyone, man or woman, that can cook does not need to always depend upon others to cook their food for them.
Smokey (30m) : The greater majority of successful restaurants are owned/and run by Men.
Smokey (33m) : Making fun of the art of cooking only demonstrates a lack of sophistication.
Smokey (35m) : Most of the finest chefs in the world are men.
hardrocker950 (2h) : lol
uffda udfa (2h) : Best pressure cooker talk on the net!
hardrocker950 (3h) : Time to get the CB situation sorted out
Smokey (3h) : DON'T DELAY, JOIN TODAY !
musccy (5h) : Sorry, but no to shields. 9 mil better spent elsewhere.
uffda udfa (6h) : Sam Shields still having headaches but wants to continue playing.
uffda udfa (6h) : Not harsh. Another failure and playoff embarrassment.
uffda udfa (6h) : Aaron cried a little when asked about Jordy playing today.
GoPack1984 (6h) : Dismal season? I think that's too harsh.
uffda udfa (6h) : Packers should have never been 4-6. Dismal season.
GoPack1984 (6h) : ...with the current defense.
GoPack1984 (6h) : Good season. Great rebound from 4-6. Would have loved to have seen them go to the Super Bowl and win, but I don't know if that was realistic
uffda udfa (6h) : •thanks Shakespeare.
