Aaron Rodgers is quite possibly the best quarterback I have ever seen. I'm an old guy. I saw every snap of Bart Starr, Johnny U, Staubach, et.al. All the names we argue...

The rap on him was arm-strength and fragility.

lol

Imagine what it was like for MM, Ted and Brett to see what they actually had. It was NOT just the draft pick, it was the skills displayed subsequent to the pick. I bet it scared the shit out of Brett Favre. He saw it way before we did.

Why do you think he refused to sit out with a broken thumb while putting up a 70.9 rating for the year?

He didn't want to get Favred like Majkowski.

The Streak was Favre's most treasured stat.

When Rodgers started zippin' that ball in, (in practice) I'd speculate there were some "day-ums", whistles, and what-not. (In a Brett Favre camp, with someone else throwing) Bet Brett Favre was not used to that. It's speculation, but I did play quarterback, plus I've stayed in several Holiday Inns. [laughing] Favre was fully cognizant of his own capabilities and limitations on that day. I bet he saw trouble, real trouble, on the horizon for him, personally. Look at the results that we do know about...

How many of you would not have shit-canned Favre for what we have now, in retrospect? Maybe he saw it coming?

In a New York minute - and it all leads to how the guy handled the situation as to how he should be viewed by Packers fans. Favre handled the situation like a scorned middle aged women being replaced by the young, hot girl. He really didn't need to have the emotional retirement, then make a circus of training camp, and ultimately go sign with the Vikings. He could have just asked to be traded like a man would have. But then he wouldn't have been able to handpick Chilly to control.

I am so tired of your shit. You didn't see every Bart Starr play and you sure as hell never EVER ever played quarterback. You do not have the mental fortitude to play the position outside of tossing ball back an forth with one of your boys. You could stay at a Platinum Holiday Inn and still couldn't toss the rock, so sit down boy and tell us about aisle 13. :)

I realized what the Pack had in A.R. from what I saw during the Dallas game when he filled in for Favre.

What was Ted supposed to do? Trade for Randy Moss?

I believe he's referring to how Brett Favre and the Packers severed ties. Both sides have agreed that it could have been done better. Again, Mike McCarthy chose to not have Brett Favre as his QB, not Ted Thompson, so the whole Randy Moss thing ... doesn't fit whatsoever.

Guess we know your other weakness: make fun of the Big Man on Campus. Do you quarterbacks have some kind of Gadar like homosexuals do? [grin1]

I enjoy smack-talk.

What, you fillin' the void for Nick?

I can STILL shuck that fucker 50 yards on a line, bitch.

Mostly 'cause I get to pump your dirt, mulch, block etc. on the cart and in in your car for your home improvement projects, lol

This old man still has "it", when throwin' a football.

Impressive! I "shuck"'d that fucker 62 yards last weekend ... I had to drop step though. It wasn't standing still.

I was calling you the BMOC, Dumbass!!! LOL

You were a quarterback, right? Ain't never met a quarterback that didn't get a whole bunch of undeserved pun!

Maybe so, but I hit the football field when I throw it. [laughing]

...Not to mention I just signed my oldest daughter's birthday card, she turns 38 in two days. Get back to me on how well you shuck it when your daughter turns 38.
I did say on a line... that implies accuracy. Any Tom, Dick, Harry can reach back and toss their personal max... I was speaking from take the snap, drop back, and hit your man... which just reminded me of just how frustrated I remain about my boy Aaron missing Greg Jennings in that wild-card game against Arizona. He hits him, on that play, the recent history of the Pack is changed more than a little, imo. Damn.

On a serious note, prepare for the compliment...

I have no doubt you are very good at the things you try to be good at. I have known you for 5 years. I just wish the rest of your generation rolled like you. Compliment over, tekkie- boy.

Oh, shit, Brett Favray discussion and LTF is in the house! [laughing]

I don't hit the field, I hit my target within arm reach. Considering my arm is getting stronger, I will post back in 22 years and see if I can "shuck" it 50. I will admit, 50 yards is pretty good for a 79 year old man.

Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Hi 😊😉
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : I guess I should have did a refresh when I walked away from the computer.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : Peters is 25 with one year left on his contract at just over $3M
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Mel Kiper sticks with Marcus Davenport to GB in 2nd mock
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : As for Marcus Peters, how old is he an what's his contract years left?
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Packers got tired of Sitton's antics.
Zero2Cool (21-Feb) : Sitton was released not because of play or salary, but personality. He will not be re-signed.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : If we are planning on possibly cutting Cobb I can see the 2nd round pick. A second round pick for Peters is a pretty good deal.
Smokey (21-Feb) : I'd offer Cobb + a 3rd round pick + a 6th round pick in 2019 for the CB Peters from KC.
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : I guess that is a highter round pick
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : Suggestion was a 2nd round pick. I would want a lower round pick. I think that is too much. A 3rd or 4th seems about right.
Smokey (21-Feb) : Cobb and WHAT PICK ?
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : A suggestion I saw was a trade of Cobb and a Pick for Peters. I think that would be a great move.
Smokey (21-Feb) : Sitton was drafted be GB in 2008, not a young man at this point, but still is a "bear" of a man.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : Sitton? Maybe if the price is right.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : I doubt the Packers would try to resign Sutton. But who knows? If the price is right?
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Bears declining option on Josh Sitton. He'll be Free Agent.
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Chiefs CB Marcus Peters trade rumors -- come to Packers!
