The facemask wasn't even as bad as the obvious helmet to helmet hit that happened the play or 2 before.

Or the helmet to helmet shot he took that gave him that first concussion against Washington (and many more). Seemed for a stretch the NFL was hellbent on protecting the other big name qbs from the slightest gust of wind but didn't give two shits about Rodgers until he had a second concussion. Then again, maybe I'm biased.

I'm still pissed about that one, too.

I refuse to root for the 49ers. (If they play the Cowboys or Vikings, I root for a 0-0 tie.)

Facemask doesn't bother me as much because if they Packers had played better, they wouldn't have been in the position where it mattered.

As long as we're bringing up more terrible calls, how about the one for the illegal line-up against Miami that gave them a first down and led to a score? The league admitted the refs blew it as Raji was off the line, not lined up head to head. Once again, bad to leave it close enough that a bad call can cost you but it gets my goat when a game can be won or lost on a CLEAR mistake by the officials.

I was at the game. The call was made soooo late (at least presented to the crowd). I was livid. I remember some of my friends saying after the game that Rodgers couldn't win a close game and we'd have to get rid of him. They enjoyed their heaping of crow later that season.
