Our previous implementation of Chat utilized IRC server that some people had issues with due to the Java Applet over various browsers.
Providing you're logged in, you can chat with us while watching the game simply by clicking "chat" at the top, or
http://packershome.com/Chat.aspxEnjoy!

What do you think of the new PackersHome Chat?
http://packershome.com/GameDayChat.aspxThere does seem to be some wasted space above/below the actual chat messages. That's being worked on to be eliminated. Other than that though, what are your thoughts? Is this better than our previous Java Applet?
I'm in Chrome, and I always get a horizontal scroll bar on the chat box frame no matter size of the browser window. That's my biggest little issue that just annoys my eyes when I see it even though it isn't actually cutting off any content other than a few pixels.
Other than that, would you be able to add the flyout button for that frame just like the shoutbox is elsewhere?

IE, Opera, Chrome and FireFox ... I'm not seeing any horizontal scrollbar. Can you provide a screenshot and attach it to a post reply?

So we just ignore the bit that asks for a password?

I think the new chat was a success.
Edit, added a new feature to the Chat. You can click
Who's Chatting to see who is, ah, chatting.

Z2C-Like the changes to the chat, especially the new comments appearing at the top rather than the bottom. Recommend putting the box to type comments at the top of the chat window. With the box at the bottom I have to scroll the top of the window off of the screen to type a comment.
edit: or make the chat window a pop-out window (if possible).
edit: running the chat in one window and video in a second, when I run in less than full screen, the chat window only goes around 1/2 the width of the video in that same window, and the text truncates so you can't read the whole thing.
Putting the comment box at the top of the chat window would also solve the problem.

I think you're using a 1366x768 resolution. I just checked this on my laptop with same resolution and same issue.
Moving the textfield would be a drastic change that I don't think I can do without re-writing a whole new chat. Maybe that's an option?
I know with that resolution its not a good setup. Gotta figure something out.

Yep, that's my resolution. It's the best my computer can do. I can decrease the resolution, but then I've got even less visible screen.

Z2C--got it solved. Used the shout box on the main forum page as the chat window--it word wraps--and was able to successfully run in two windows. No problems. Chat worked fine.
