Thanks everyone. I knew I could count on you for a decent update. The final score of the preseason games does not concern me in the least, I just want to see how everyone played and see that no one got hurt. In fact that was the main reason I hit the site so late last night. I didn't want to see any major injuries and it looks like there were none.

To DarkaneRules- Burnett can't go on the PUP list. As I understand it only those who were listed on the preseason list are eligible for the regular season list and once they come off in the preseason they can't be put on. In other words anyone active for any time in the preseason can't go on the PUP list for the regular season. If his injury is bad enough it s IR or inactive for a while.

The giving up of 17 points was not a major concern of mine when I saw the final score. If this team can hold every opponant to 17 point they may go 15-1 again. I guess I shouldn't have been too concerned about the 10 point offensive showing either as we all know what this #1 offense is capable of.

I didn't see a lot of the game. I missed most of the first quarter. It seemed that Pete Carroll wanted the win a lot more than Mike did. he kept his starters in the game until the 3rd Q. It seems that his team has taken on his personality and they were flagged a ton of times for being thugs. It was a hard game to watch because for the most part it was our 2nd 3rd teams against their first. By and large the reserves held up their end but it was apparent they were simply not as talented as a whole as Seattle's starters.

I take it with Carroll he uses these preseason similar to his time at USC when they would play bottom feeder teams. For him it's about playing the same game as you would in the season and going for the win with your starters and backups in order to get them broad experience vs what an NFL coach might do by trying get young guys experience in specific situations. Ultimately it looks good on paper and gets a lot of buzz (if you read the comments on articles about the game where Seahag fans commented, you'd think they'd won by 40), but I'm not sure how good it is in the long run for young guys.

Oh, and he's a colossal douche
thanks Post received 1 applause.

I'm going to have to look for the link elsewhere, my playback on my computer sucks. on every playback it jumps from about 5 yards before contact to them laying on the ground so I don't get to see the actual tackle.

They did get the roughing flag on that right? Good on Masthey to get knocked down, get back up and make the play.

no penalty for roughing Masthay. There was a flag but it was the Packer gunner running out of bounds unaided or something like that. it is ok for the defense to push him out but he can't try and get separation by running out on his own.

Who else thinks The Packers offense that we have seen is absolutely nothing compared to what we will see opening day in Frisco?

I do, Mike isn't giving anything away.

Oh hell ya.... I think people are underrating what this offense can do... They just need to run block better. Pass blocking.. I think I might be crazy but I think it might be better than last year. It just depends if Mike McCarthy goes to a balanced offense.

I said this yesterday and i'll say it again. It doesn't mean shit if they don't score a touchdown in the preseason. Preseason=Evaluation Like you said.

No problem. Your sentiments were spot on. Hopefully Burnett is not hurt to bad. I probably wouldn't have known either except everyone was making such a big deal out or the pre season PUP list this year and I remembered reading it. Still, I had to look it up to be sure.

There do seem to be way more injuries league wide this year. I don't know if it is the HGH testing thing (people quit using so they don't heal as fast) or if they are just reporting it more or if the lack of contact etc. in the camps is making everyone soft or what. Hopefully they are just being a bit more cautious.

We really haven't seen our starting offense
On the field yet. No Cobb or Nelson, and even
Rodgers hasn't been on the field much.

And Lacy hasn't had any real blocking
yet, so it's hard to get a real opinion
on him yet.

I do hope we haven't seen the best of the
team, or it will be a long season.

Word on Burnett is it's just a tweak.

68md: wet blanket ? He works his ass off to keep the place going for you ?
Smokey: Zero, Why are you such a wet blanket host ? A real SB "Chat" should have been a priority for this site. Wet Blanket strikes again.
Zero2Cool: BTW, I'm not saying you're an asshole. I'm stating a fact, that's all.
Zero2Cool: You don't get it. You confuse right and privilege. Assholes don't deserve privileges. Get it, got it, good.
uffda udfa: Talib playing a Burfict half so far.
uffda udfa: You have an R rated section on a Packers board. I think moving the guys you really don't want rocking the boat to their own forum is a great
uffda udfa: I think the same was likely said at KFAN when it was suggested they have a Packers show. I believe they still have it. I used to produce it
Zero2Cool: Seriously think what you're asking and do so before asking. Unreal.
uffda udfa: Aaron walking gingerly in that SB MVP introduction thing.
uffda udfa: May I suggest something? How about a "Packers Cynics" sub forum. A place for the Dakota's and me. I would exclusively post there.
Zero2Cool: One way or another, there is going to be a big change coming to PH.
uffda udfa: I don't want to be difficult but you do for some reason. I know you've been dealing with a lot.
Zero2Cool: Precisely what I thought.
uffda udfa: Nah, that's okay. I already asked.
Zero2Cool: If you want your name changed, you need to send me a PM with the name change. Thank you.

TheKanataThrilla: Looks like Manziel is getting cut. I'd be interested in him as a back-up.

Smokey: WILL WE HAVE A SB "CHAT", Zero2Cool ?
Mucky Tundra: I wonder if Stat Padford will follow Johnson to the retirement center?
uffda udfa: Winston Moss has a better all time win % than MM at 1000%. Let's make this permanent. :)
uffda udfa: We should take note and realize our Jordy might not be Jordy at 31 this season.
uffda udfa: I think Detroit has a way of doing that to players.
Zero2Cool: Calvin is retiring at age 30, just like the great Barry Sanders.
uffda udfa: He'd be 31 just like Jordy but his body is done.
