I would.

Jennings is a career journeyman, McMillian keeps shitting himself.

The answer at safety is Micah Hyde. He isn't fast enough for corner, but has excellent ball skills and is fundamentally sound tackler.

I still don't like the Hyde to safety right now. Maybe if he has a longer career test it out like with Woodson but right now, he is an ascending nickelback / dimeback player. Let's rep him as much as possible there.

We already know Jennings and McMillian aren't the answer, why keep pounding square pegs into round holes? A veteran free agent safety would have been the answer.

Charles Woodson is doing pretty well at Safety for the Raiders.

Not necessarily. Guys like Michael Huff, Dashon Gholdson, Bernard Pollard have all had some rough games to start this year. Safety is a position that is pretty weak leaguewide and it's been like that for a while. Most teams don't have 2 good safeties it seems.

We would have with Collins and Burnnett. The search continues.

It's funny the last 2 years we've really only tried to upgrade at Saftey with McMillian. Woodson was a failed project even though he got hurt.

I think not drafting a Saftey, particularly a bigger safety, besides Burnett is killing us on defense.

But I gotta say Jennings has came on these last few weeks.

Jennings a journeyman? Please explain.

He was signed by The Packers 3 yrs ago, either as a UDFA or after another team cut him(I believe UDFA is right).

Jennings has spent his 3 yr career all with The Packers.

Didn't McMillian lead the team in interceptions last year? btw as a 4th rnd draft pick rookie.

Then week 1 this year Burnette practices all week and comes up lame on Friday, which forces McMillian into a starting position he didn't prepare for all week.

Now the writer and you want to throw ANOTHER UDFA rookie into the fire.

I have no problem getting Banjo playing time, but let's make sure he is ready to start, especially since there is no reason to start him in front of McMillian.

What's the problem with starting late rnd and UDFA rookies?

Anybody?

I tend to agree with this. Hyde certainly seems to be a keeper, but he really does seem better suited for Safety.

I really like this idea. Micah Hyde could very well be the answer at S opposite Morgan Burnett. He looks the part, has exceptional ball skills, and seems to know his way around the field with good football instincts.

I wish they would give him a go there.
