Hits include all individual files to load a page including CSS and images. This page alone loads well over 100 images.
A better measure of traffic is visits, unique visits, and page views. Hits just tells you how many things the server had to send out. |

If I understand your theory correctly, when I hit refresh it (hit counter) should jump about 100. But even when I hit refresh after clearing my cache and internet files, it only increments by one. :shrug: edit, rabid got me curious ;)    and this is per my host...
