Cole must be a lightweight. I got pulled over a couple of years ago on US 41 in Appleton for going 88 in a 65 (had out of state plates - Ontario - so I thought I was cooked). Cop was actually a decent guy though. He asked if I had any connections to Wisconsin and I smiled and said "just the Packers." He looked at me, and then looked away, but I could tell he was laughing. Came back 5 minutes later, still smiling, with a written warning and told me to slow down.

and this past summer I was pulled over in Illinois doing 80 in a 65

I always wondered how fast you had to be going to get a ticket in Illinois. I always thought it was a lot faster than that though.

Keys.........it's the luck of the draw. Some cops will cut you some slack, some won't.
I go 5 over at the MOST, no matter what the other people are doing. I look at it this way........if you are driving 100 miles to get somewhere, how much faster will you get there by going 10-15 over the speed limit? 10 minutes maybe? Is that worth taking the chance of a big fine and points on your license, which also brings up you insurance costs?
I have been driving for 33 years. Know how many speeding tickets i have got over that time? ZERO. The only times i came close was what i posted earlier when i worked at the Sentinel.
If you don't break the law, you don't really have anything to worry or bitch about.
Just because everyone else is doing it, that doesn't make it right.

Cheesey I know what you're saying and I agree with you. That's why I won't go over any more and even before the ticket I rarely exceeded 5 over. But the inconsistencies still piss me off.

It used to be... I remember when I was younger and I'd go up from St. Louis to Sturgeon Bay with my family and my dad would be going 85 to 90 the whole way... never once pulled over.

I understand what you are saying.........you never know if the cop will write you up or not. They let some go, and some they nail. Some cops are understanding, some not.

The only time a cop let me go was with a pretty pink slip. I I have a hard time believing anyone who says they got away without a ticket!!! I got 27 of them bastards in a four year span that totaled more than 3k in fines.

Very valuable lesson learned. Don't let an 18 yr old have a convertible and don't let him have a truck that he can take off roading and rack up trespassing fines.

speed limits in illinois - 65 on major highways for cars & 55 on major highways for semi's, vehicles hauling trailers, campers, & motorhomes. pisses off the truckers but it's a helluva lot better than the bottleneck y'all have up there in wisconsin letting EVERYBODY do 65!!!!! ;)

Zero2Cool (4h) : Damn-Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells reporters that WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited this week but will be “ready to rock” on Sunday.
Zero2Cool (4h) : Packers defense has a red zone INT in each of the last 3 games... Hyde with two of them. (One being the clutch 4thQ INT vs DET in Week 17)
Zero2Cool (6h) : Randall Cobb, Damarious Randall, Quentin Rollins, James Starks, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery & Jared Cook. OUT
Zero2Cool (6h) : Packers inactive list when they lost 33-32 to the Falcons week 8.
Zero2Cool (6h) : There is no emphasis, it's just a little bit of info. Take it or leave it. No harm.
Smokey (7h) : Zero, I believe that you and some others place too much emphasis upon data. no harm intended.
Zero2Cool (7h) : It’s the 1st time since 1970 all 4 conference championship teams finished the regular season on winning streaks of 4+ games
TheKanataThrilla (7h) : Salt mine. Love it.
TheKanataThrilla (7h) : The refs kept that game close. We should have blown them out early.
DarkaneRules (7h) : Hyde and Gunter are special and I'm hopeful D Ran gets back to where he can be
mi_keys (7h) : That whole forum is a salt mine. It's beautiful.
Zero2Cool (7h) : Burnett's back up, Kentrell Brice lead team in tackles.
uffda udfa (12h) : Hilarious reading below. I like Carter. Only guy who gets it.

uffda udfa (13h) : Great news.
Zero2Cool (17h) : Jordy has "legitimate hope" to play, per @RobDemovsky.
Zero2Cool (18h) : Packers had one call on defense if called, no issue, wans't called. I didn't watch OL so dunno. I watched WR's
Zero2Cool (18h) : Dallas OL had some holds weren't called and 2 defensive holds, not called.
uffda udfa (18h) : I think the Pi vs just a holding call is a legit complaint. Terrible call.
GoPack1984 (18h) : Dallas can't complain about the officials. They got away with so many defensive holding calls.
uffda udfa (18h) : Dallas radio postgame: Dallas wins 7 out of 10 times.
uffda udfa (18h) : Brice led Pack w/ 6 tackles including the hardest of the game.
uffda udfa (18h) : Post game show said same thing. Everyone wondering how it didn't stay left.
Zero2Cool (18h) : Tornado warning forces players, fans to stay put at AT&T Stadium
Zero2Cool (18h) : Skip:More I see winning FG, more I see a very weird thing: It hooked hard left, then straightened out. Obviously no wind. Like meant to be
Zero2Cool (18h) : @RealSkipBayless: More I see winning FG, more I see a very weird thing: It hooked hard left, then straightened out. Obviously no wind. Like
uffda udfa (18h) : I don't believe Dallas is better than us. When Aaron is on we're the best.
beast (18h) : The huddle penalty was an odd one. Without Burnett and Nelson.
uffda udfa (18h) : Cowboys radio team initially called Crosby GW NO GOOD. Lol.
DarkaneRules (19h) : we beat an arguably better team at their place without morgan burnett. still can't believe it
uffda udfa (19h) : Re emphasized we aren't the better team. Sour grapes are sweet to me.
uffda udfa (19h) : Complaining of PI call and huddle penalty.
uffda udfa (19h) : Dallas play by play guy said we aren't best team.
uffda udfa (19h) : NBC is off the air down here. This is an OTA broadcast signal.
uffda udfa (19h) : Tornado warnings in Dallas area. Sign of aPACKalypse to Cowboys fans.
