Long story short my ex was a cheater thats why she is the ex..
The 2 kids I always thought were mine biologically are not..Found that out few years after the divorce.. I decided to take her to court over the paternity and fought the fact was paying 200$ a week for kids not mine.
I ended up getting it reduced to the 30 a week, because JJ was able to get ssi from the state, and it off set my support..So every since then she has bashed me every chance she can get because I do not "pay support" Boy....isn't THAT a slap in the face??? She screws around, gets pregnant.......you "man up" and be the kid's Daddy, and she has the nerve to pull that crap. Plus, as you stated, there are programs out there that are there specificly to help people. Thats why they are there! After all, it's not like you don't have a very valid reason to do so! |

Great read Longtime. Sadly, I did not know of your story.. I empathize.
I also empathize with how you and your ex ended up.. Two things I'm more passionate about than anything else.. Is broken homes and children. And you have both of them, unfortunately. My thoughts and prayers go to you my friend. |

I think thats awesome what your doing for the kids, I always want to do it but i think i would be to emotional for them. When it comes to your son best wishes for him and i have no problem hearing about him. I think alot on here would be in agreement that we are family on this site.

great job, jim. i already knew pretty much everything so at least you haven't been "closed off" with me. ;) lol. i think of you & JJ often. usually when my twins are out running around, i think how grateful i am that they are healthy. then inevitably my thoughts turn to JJ. please send him some hugs from me, ok?

He also said that he was mad at her and how she has this nasty attitude towards me, she should be thankful Once he was done I stood up and clapped and told him thank you.. Was waiting for years for someone else to tell her to her face how she screwed up.. I was doing it for years but she never heard me *** [size=18]Now get back to posting here..WE MISS YOU[/size]

Humble, but accurate.. =P First, one of the biggest problems I have with separated parents is the bad mouthing and trashing that the kids hear. Which is the LAST thing you, as a loving parent, want to do... Trust me. As a kid growing up in a broken home(s), I experienced this. And it has driven a big wedge in my relationship with my mother. We all make mistakes, and sometimes, even unfortunate, it's the best to separate for the better sake of ALL parties involved.. But that's no stinkin' excuse for one parent to degrade/bad mouth/trash the other. ESPECIALLY to the kids or in their presence. You are just ASKING for a messed up child in the future. I was gonna post another opinion, but it had nothing to do with the topic, so I'll just leave it at this.. lol |

I didn't come from a broken home, yet I couldn't agree with you more, Formo. For most of my life, I bought into my mother's bitching about my father, and grew up essentially hating my father's guts. It wasn't for quite a few years after I left home that I was able to get a more objective picture of the situation. Then I realized I had bought into a one-sided bucket of slop. Regardless of whether the parents are together or not, they should never bitch about each other in front of the children, and NEVER bitch to the children a bout each other. To do is so is so caustic to the children's psyche and to their relationship with their parents, the most precious connection they have.
I refuse to bitch about my wife in front of my kids. |
