By Rob Demovsky
Two days after Kregg Lumpkin rode the bench in Mondays win over the Minnesota Vikings, the rookie running back was the Green Bay Packers starting running back at practice.

He also was their only running back at practice.

The undrafted free agent from Georgia, who opened training camp as a long shot to make the team, got the bulk of the snaps in practice on Wednesday because of a surprise injury to backup running back Brandon Jackson and the sore hamstring of starter Ryan Grant.

Jackson showed up at team headquarters on Wednesday morning complaining of headaches, and he was diagnosed with what coach Mike McCarthy called a minor concussion. Read More....

I'm actually looking forward to Lumpy getting a chance to show what he can do. I think he's gonna be a plus for us. Now he gets the chance to show if i'm right or not.
Then again, the Packers might be doing this to make the Lions THINK Grant and B-Jack won't be in there.

Blumpkin is going to be starting on my fantasy team this week. Seriously.

Let's see him with the bright lights of the regular season.. that would be excellent if we could have a 1,2,3 punch of Grant, Jackson and Lumpy.

Daily team observers of the Packers think the team might have found itself a supersleeper in undrafted free-agent RB Kregg Lumpkin. Hes got great size at 225 pounds with decent vision, and he always is surging forward, one source said of the Georgia product. And hes a tough kid, very tenacious.

Yup GBP.....Lumpy went OVER people in the preseason. Of course he will be going up against starters now. But i think he will be primed to want to show his stuff. I hope he gets to play.
